The seller of this website has 100% positive feedback and is selling a website that earns over 700 per month for only $2000. My question is if he is truly earning that much why is he or she selling it for such a low price? The similarweb firefox app comes up with no data so that could be a red flag. He has also disabled the buy course option and Im not sure why. Im aware flippa is rife with scams but as I mentioned earlier he has 100% positive feedback. I probably wont buy this website unless Im 100% sure its not a scam but I need to learn how to spot a scam when I see one so any help here is appreciated

Don't fall for the trading score there. Utter BS to be honest.

I wanted to give it a look but I noticed Flippa now requires you being logged in order to see the listings. Maybe I'll do it once home.

In the meantime, it's really easy to find out if it's a shitty website or not. Did the seller link the analytics?

No he didnt link the analytics I might ask to see them to see how he responds

Yes, ask him to add your email there. A huge part of the due diligence starts from the analytics side. If the seller says the traffic is organic, then check the keywords and estimate how much visits he can receive if he was really ranked for the said keywords.

He claims its mainly done by email marketing not organic keywords in the description

Everything can be checkd from the analytics. If it was using EM then I'm sure he has analytics on his mailing campaigns, like the CTR and the OR, you need to check these to estimate the number of monthly visits he has. I noticed he has around 70 bids. Go ahead and click on the bids and see how many bidders are there. I assume for that amount you should have at least 10 bidders. If you only see 2 or 3 then consider that the seller is chill bidding (which happens on 90% of listings there).

.online and trying to sell a website geared toward making money online.

Yes it might be a scam.

However, most people dont understand the best time to sell. They wait until the site has peaked and sell on a downward trajectory. That means they need a quick sale as each month that goes by the site is now worth less and less.

But never buy a site unless you already know how to improve it and make more money from it.

Thanks for your help, there is currently 11 bidders.

Offer them $29 tell them you know it’s a Done For You package and you only want the $2 Domain Name.
is it easy to fake seller feedback on flippa? His listings go 8 months back

I would think one reason is the short history? The site is only 6 months old which is a bit scary to me. But he does have a good rep which is a good sign. But yea there must be a reason why its so cheap if it actually makes so much

Never mind lol. The auction ended early. Seems like a scam

If I were truly interested in the listing I would read it very carefully. Look at the questions so far. What common senese questions do you have about the listing?

Next thing I would do is run the url thru a traffic sats page to see what kind of traffic numbers you are looking at, because there are NO Google Analytics Installed on this site (read the listing carefully). Why would someone who is ultimately going to sell the site not have GA installed to prove traffic stats?

It says in the listing that he is using a marketer for traffic - so likely there is no organic traffic but you can check it on AHREFS.

If you don't have access to AHREFS then you could run it through neil patels tool Ubbersuggest, just know that the stats on
Ubbersuggest are about 3 months behind. It will tell you though if it's ranking for keywords or not - again a bit behind.

It's not on a DOT com so that brings down the value a bit. The .online TLD is fairly new and not a lot of people will
randomly search for it. But as long as it has decent SEO for organic traffic that would be ok in the long run.

Do an index search on it in google like this site:udemyprofits.online See how many pages it has indexed.

Check to see if it's running on wordpress and what theme it may be using (if any) with a tool like whatthemeisthis.com or wpthemedetector.com

When you look at the Flippa listing - notice that under site info it says content unique: no design unique:no that means it's probably
a PLR site. In that case look around Warrior Forum or some of the PLR platforms and you will probably find that package as well
for under $100.

Since you are on a blackhat forum, I assume you know that earning statements, etc can be made using photoshop so, if you
are truly interested in the site ater this short research, contact the buyer and make him show you live proof through a
program like teamviewer or something similar of the paypal account that is being used to collect payments. NOT a VIDEO.

There are many things that you can look at on the listing that beg further questions a lot of questions that I can see. Use common sense, ask questions.

Hope that gets you started.
