Someone D-Bag Impersonating Me.

So I caught some jerk off impersonating me on Skype. I trolled him, got all him info, whats the best way I should expose him? Should I make a screen cap video? I dont want to tread lightly because these scammers making identical, fake skypes need to be address and maybe us sellers should be banned for using Skype because if you click the wrong one, you're losing your money which is NOT right. I'm all about justice and providing paying customer the absolute most respect for their dollar.

I am sorry but it bothers me, I work hard on every project I get and I am very grateful for whoever chooses to spend their dollar on me. I go above and beyond and some asshole who pretends to be me to scam people who are willing to invest in bettering their life is serious.

I think Skype added a feature that says "Skype name matches" or something. I've seen it on the Skype browser app at least. Other than that, looks like you already have the warning about him in your sig, which is good. I don't think there's much more you can reasonably do.

P.S. I don't think it's allowed to have both a banner and a line of text in your sig, though I may be wrong. I think it's either 1 banner or up to 3x lines of text.

Well someone is trying to scam people out of their hard earned dollar and I am protecting them, so it better be allowed!

EDIT: This if for BHW look into why I put that in my signature instead of deleting my signature. People should not be scammed out of their dollar and I believe an extra line extra in my signature is worth it.

It happens also have you tried searching that Skype ID over here or Google for that matter

That skype id is suppose to only be mine, but because of this issue i do not believe skype should be used.

Not sure as I don't make policy but I would not want people to be able to spam in their signatures with banners and text.

I'd oppose it should that come up as it comes off like spam.

I get why you did it and that is why you did not get a signature warning but we still cannot do it - me included.

I totally understand Bass I have no issues with anyone but I definitely something to be considered as it is protecting peoples safety.

if you know what country they live maybe contact their local law enforcement.

Blackhat serps is one thing ... theft is another.

Most countries take this seriously and if your diplomatic and do some research on the proper channels to go through you might be able to get some serious results.

Offer to work with them in a sting to prove the guy is scamming people.

In some areas this wont work and if whoever is doing it is plugged in with the community this likely won't work.

Your country might have laws that would protect you; I know the country I live in does and with enough evidence there are a variety of things your law enforcement people can do as to cyber fraud.

Make a few calls to the legal authorities and see if there is any recourse.

Don't hit your local cops as they are not the guy but go to the Federal law enforcement people. It might be a bit of an effort unless you know someone but if it is a real issue that would be the path I would take (and have actually).

If law enforcement contacts pp I am sure that email will have value. I would guess they can access any info he put in even after he deleted his account.
