[Question] Shall I go for .US domain name?

Hello there,

I am from India. I would like to buy a domain name which I find really good, .com and .in domains are not available and I am planning to buy .us domain name instead. Will it be helpful? For the domain name and its trend, India will be the location where I will be getting most of the traffic to that website. With that reason, Will it be good if i go with .us domain name?

Also can I register .US domain name from India itself? or do I need to submit any documents for it?

Afaik you install a .us domain if you plan to get traffic from US

Also if the domains are taken might have to go with something else

Why not .com domain?, the renew fee of .us domain is even higher than .com domain. I've used tons of .us domains but I would recommend you go for .com. And yes, I can register .us domain just fine.

Its pretty clear that is taken, i guess he is going for exact match

My first priority is .in domain if my target audience is from India.
If the domain isn't available then I'll go for .co.in.
