Is my site under attack?

Am i under attack? traffic is 50% from malaysia and 50% from russia, although i live in Greece!!
Any idea?

Could be. But that amount of traffic shouldn't be able to do anything to your site.

I get some things like that occasionally. I always chalk it up to scraping bots or things like that.

Maybe you got a hype spmewhere on the web or somebody mentioned you thats why
This amount of traffic cannot do anything

Sometimes when they want to do a massive “attack” they send millions of bot generated traffic per day so your website will collapse for a while
Be grateful maybe they are gonna buy something!

Check your site logs. If they're looking for specific plugin directories, attempting XSS attacks, trying to get to your admin panel, or trying to enumerate your users... yes it's an attack. Otherwise, probably not. Russia and China are the two biggest attackers of my sites. Malaysia hasn't been a larger attacker in a while. Phillipines and Ukraine are common too on my sites.

It could probably be because you are getting free traffic and you site is used as safe page or as a test

We had something similar happen for one day last month, and saw it using analytics.
Assumed it was someone scraping our site. No harm was done.

When I get a flux like that from Russia it is usually bots trying to hack in. If it happens regularly it might be worthwhile to invest in more security. I did and it was worth it.

I've used StopBadBots and Wordfence for my WordPress Sites. Cloudflare has security options I've used as well. {I don't own or earn money off these suggestions}
