Anyone have ideas on building links for a bar? I have nothing and am struggling to find any ideas.

What do you mean by bar? You mean bar website, you want to generate leads to get more people to bar where people drink liq**?

Yes. A sports bar to be exact. It's not so much about generating leads but more increasing domain / page authority and getting a bit of traffic to climb some of the rankings. The site is number 2 or 3 for most local keywords but I'd like to boost that to number one and dominate the competition.

THen you should prefer more local seo. Get links from local listings, use ifttt to share those articles across social media. Write articles about the games that are available in sports bar. Get more google reviews. There is a thread IFTTT works well for local seo. Use search button.

Get some guest posts and some niche edits if you are looking to increase authority. Wikipedia links can be had as well and those will help also.

All of those are offered in the marketplace.

For traffic, should the focus change, build up their social media presence.

Yup use more local directory listings.

Try to get involved with the community. Also, i've found press releases to work well on freshly minted local SEO websites.

Do you have any significant linkbuilding experience? Even with little experience you can 'spy' on your competitors and get some ideas that way.

I could look into some old similar projects and give you some ideas as well. PM me if you need help setting up this linkbuilding project.

Having guest posts on restaurant/catering would be a good fit. Other than that you can just spy top competitors and see what they're doing. Make sure you check simple domain names, not directories as they rank because of authority.

Don't overthink it please, you can still rank in 2019 with backlinks from PBNs that aren't relevant with that niche.

Also don't forget your On PAGE to be on top. You can use Pageoptimizer or cora for that.

Thanks for the offer. I don't really have any link building experience besides directory links and also working with influencers. Sure send a PM I'm interested.

I presume your GMB listing etc is all good?
Yes that's all good. However it drives traffic directly to the bar as does the FB page instead of the website. I'm not complaining about that of course.

Yes good ideas thanks. I always make sure to optimize on page and technical seo.
