Hi there everybody!

Recently there has been a lot of situation where people are saying that their seller accounts have been banned out of the blue and now they cannot log in at all.

In case anybody's facing the same situation without any reasonable reason, please mention.

Regards,
David

I have been providing seller account reinstatement services but recently there has been a lot of situation where people are saying that their seller accounts have been banned out of the blue and now they cannot log in at all.

I'm not sure if this is a thinly veiled attempt to sell your services or a legitimate discussion.

Amazon may remove seller privileges, but it does not remove access to the account.

there really have been such cases where Amazon has removed complete access to the accounts.

PS:
this is not some marketing tactic at all. Just gathering some suggestions.

As a member of several FB groups that were set up to discuss FBA/FBM suspensions, I've never seen this.

Furthermore, it would be against Amazon's own terms and also probably unlawful to block account access.

Actually, there are some sellers facing this very situation. Amazon says that their seller account is on hold and after some time their target marketplace vanishes into thin air.

This is absolutely true, this is exactly what has happened to us.
3 days in August - blocked (no access)
13 days in Sept - blocked (no access)
1 day so far in Oct - blocked (no access)

When you have no acces, and you ship as a merchant -you can't reply to emails - so lots of negatives and A-Zs.
Crazy. Does anyone else have this problem, and more importantly, does anyone have a solution?!

The thing that we can do is here to contact Amazon through other means or consult someone.
We have recovered some accounts out of this actually but the success rate is much lower as compared to other suspensions.

Regards.

This happens when you are banned from KDP as well, you lose access to your KDP account. You can still use your normal Amazon account for buying, but you get an endless loop when you try to log in to KDP.

Unlawful or not, they do it.
Seen quite a few people ask for help on the Amazon forums over the years for this type of situation.
Usually they don't block access to the account, but sometimes they do.
Not sure what their exact reasoning is for this.

They do indeed do this, it's rare - it's internally called Dot F status i think. It literally blocks login to amazon completely (seller, buyer, prime etc) - and it's extremely difficult to get out of as communications are largely ignored. However, if you have a way to contact someone internally you sometimes can get an appeal read.
