PPC Advice

I've taken over a very large PPC account for a client - I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed because there are so many campaigns and Ad Groups.

Just wanted to hear opinions from people with PPC experience on large accounts on their process when taking over a large account to become more acquainted with it?

I know the feeling.

Before taking PPC accs I always look at current structure, if it's too messy I normally proposed new from scratch.

I presume you're not facing just a big acc, but a messy one too. I've seen acc with millions of kw's that weren't that hard to crack on - they were well structure.

If it is messy, I would start by renaming campaigns and adgroups to something meaningful to you. From there you will have to revisit them time after time and get familiar with it. No shortcuts here.

Great, thanks! I'm happy to see that there's no short cuts as it's taking me hours to become acquainted with it and I was worrying that I am not working through it properly!

Yes, it would be ideal to organize the keywords in related ad groups and campaign and also try to organize them in a way that they are grouped/arranged in a same way as the website.
