What's the different cause between banned and deleted members? And why there's an (ex) moderator who get banned?

What's the different cause between banned and deleted members?

Banned members have been banned either temporarily or permanently. Most of the time, they're banned for rule violations, although sometimes they request to be banned (e.g., they want to limit distractions for a month or so). Their profiles technically still exist, but are only viewable by moderators and above.

Deleted members are members who have submitted a support ticket asking for their accounts to be deleted. They're not "banned", but rather their profiles are deleted and cannot be viewed by anyone.

And why there's an (ex) moderator who get banned?
