I'd like to chip in my 2¢
Why is adsense earnings so shit?
I have a website about gaming news and earnings are very low. Its organic traffic from good countries. Would u recommend auto ads or manual ones?
Because Google takes most of your profit.
AdSense is taking up to 60% (or more) of whatever you make, so you never know what you actually earn, you know what you get paid.
If you have good traffic flow - use more ad networks along with AdSense.
What ad placement converts better, above the fold, banner, or inside the article?
As long as your ads visible (above the fold) they will convert one way or another.
Average CTR on display ads is around 3%. If your ads are withing content and visible you shouldn't worry much about CTR as it will be whatever it will be. The point not to increase your CTR (which means high bounce) but to earn enough from 3% to be happy.
Recommend please some niches with decent CPC
Niches have no impact on your CPC. If your site is about
cars, but I was browsing SEO sites - most probably I will see SEO related ads.
Build a site around the niche you're passionate about, this way you won't run out of ideas for content + you will enjoy doing it.
Best theme for a tech site for the maximum ctr?
CTR is average in the industry, whatever you do it will be around the same range.
If it goes to high - this means something isn't right and is a high risk to get account disabled.
Any network you suggest if banned from adsense and media.net?

i mean what type of content should i write?
And i see usa and aus clicks have max cpc
Tier 1 countries have the highest rates as they see more expensive ads.
Is it possible to increase AdSense revenue by optimizing the account? E.g force certain ad sizes, block advertisers etc?
Currently have a website generating $3000/m with just basic setup (resposive ads) - is it worth looking into?
Haven't touched it for a good 3 years or so, and last time I did I noticed earnings were taking a hit - but not sure about how it is nowadays.
Cheers,
Optimization is the key to success!
If you making $3k with AdSense, most probably you're paying $7k in fees.
The best thing you could do is set ad server with multiple ad networks and you could see that amount doubled.
Blocking advertisers, unless those are your competitors, will negatively affect your revenue.
To increase
AdSense revenue, same as any other ad network, would be getting lots of traffic, from many different sources, and make them browse as many pages on the site as possible.
Best way to increase ad revenue (not just AdSense, but revenue from programmatic ads on the site) is to use multiple ad networks and make them compete (bid) for each ad impression.
I am doing traffic arbitrage, focusing only on usa geo, I get good results in fb ads CPC $0.02-0.05 but I still struggle with the ROI because my adsense CTR is very low! I tried many ads placements but did not get any better results.
Did you try buying traffic? If yes, What was your average ROI?
Are you doing anything to retain visitors on your site/make them return?
CTR will always be around the same %.
You can calculate the necessary user behavior to make a profit.
E.g. your CPC is 2¢ and your CPM (RPM) is $5 - to profit users need to go through more than 4 pages (rough estimate but gives an idea).
