I think negative SEO discussion in this context is against the forum rules, but regardless; to answer your question, I think it would depend on the kind of views you're hitting the video with. I will not elaborate further as I do not want to help anyone succeed in this area, nor should anyone waste their time trying to.

For most very low and low comp keywords, and some medium-high comp keywords; it's quite easy to rank well on YouTube using basic strategies not to mention cheap, so there is no excuse for bringing your competitors videos down when you can just bring your own up.

I would strongly advise you spend your time learning how to improve your own video ranking strategy instead of learning how to de-rank others' videos.

Okay cool. If you have the skills to rank videos well then I would suggest that you create other videos on the same or on a new channel and rank those for the same keyword to ultimately outrank your competitor again once or twice, if you can. Bump them to the third or forth position and increase your own targeted viewership while decreasing theirs.
