Does domain registrar and host matter?

I'm trying to promote my ecommerce website on Facebook or Google ads for a dropshiping niche.
It's actually a new website that I'm gonna build myself. It's completely white hat, but I know new 'anything' gets a little more check/scrutiny.


So my question is: is it better to use a registrar like namecheap and build a woocommerce website or should I go with shopify?.

My guess is that internet Ads giants like Facebook and Google are more friendly towards shopify stores and probably more likely to approve Ads from shopify stores than ecommerce stores under registrars like namecheap and godaddy.

Anyone with experience in this field? What's do you guys think?

I don't think they only approve shopify, but shopify is more friendly in optimising. It's just your preference and how you build the Store and list the products.

If you want to get your hands dirty and you got time/knowledge go with woocommerce.
If you are fine paying monthly subscription to most of the features then go with shopify.

Please make sure to go with managed wordpress hosting with good reputation if you chose woocommerce, my favorite are WPX and siteground.
You HAVE to have fast website for ecommerce.

i think yes it does matter.
If you go with not popular webhost there is a chance you will face a lot of downtime and not good support.
On the other hand if you pay something reasonable you may get good customer support.
I am not saying you need to pay huge but something not too costly and under the budget.

I know the quality of service at shopify is probably better.

But my question is: Which ecommerce store is Facebook/Google likely to approve (for Ads). Is it a new shopify store or a new woocommerce store registered and hosted by godaddy, namecheap etc.

I read an article on Facebook's website relating to business accounts and using pixels. It lists it's partners as shopify, bigcommerce, magneto etc. But no mention of woocommerce.
WooCommerce is bigger than all 3 of the above platforms but Facebook left it out. Got me thinking that Facebook and probably Google gives a certain advantage to shopify.

Just to add: I think registrars or hosts that accept bitcoins get strict review by Ads giants because they know bitcoins payment method attracts scammers.

Google/facebook gives more preference to Shopify stores then woocommerce

Most likely, seen quite a while shops cloaking fb ads and using shopify for safe page while real store being self-hosted.
However if his plan is to follow the rules for advertising then he can disregard initial trust shopify gets.

Yeah, it's completely white hat but since it's a new website in dropshiping niche (which I know Ads giants don't like so much lol) I just want as much trust as I can get to improve my chances at success.

I've used Shopify for some of my 5-figure stores, works like a charm. But with regards to SEO, I haven't even tested this. Thanks for opening mah eyes!
