Very helpful tips. However if you build your own network of accounts such as I do with child accounts, it pays off in the long run bcs each child account is subniche oriented. Thus giving quality traffic to your store

You should definitely be able to get at least some sales if the product and post images are good enough. Perhaps consider ordering the product and creating the photos yourself.

I did a jv a while ago with another person here on BHW and he seemed either unable to get traffic or that the niche was too small?

I think it's still possible, there's def a huge demegraphic of people in that niche. You just need to target and use the limited daily actions effectively!
