So this is my first contribution to the group. Hope you'll like it.

PS: This is going to be a long post and I'm not going to proofread it so don't judge me on this.

Just take the knowledge. :p

Let's start!

This is a practical case study on how I earned close to $1950 in 2018 working on the Black Friday & Cyber Monday event.

How did it all started?
One of my friends told me that people make $10-20k dollars by working on Black Friday event and he also told me that he's working on the event too.

I told him to start it in partnership but somehow he was not taking it seriously. So finally, I decided to start my own site and planned all the strategies.

Here's a step-by-step process.

Event Date was 23rd November (BF) and 26th November (CM).

I was proactive and started working in the month of September. My domain was registered on 9th of Sept 2018.

I submitted it on 10th of Sept in GSC.

Now after that I started searching for low competition keywords with some with search volume even zero. and max up to 1600/mo.

After making a list of 70+ keywords I started spinning the articles with the help of Flikover WordAI. All the articles were 1000+ minimum and max up to 3k+ words.

Before the event I managed to get 250+ articles published on my blog. That was a pain in the ass to spin 250 articles. :(

I was constantly adding new 7-10 articles every single day.

Now coming to the link building part. I didn't make even a single link on my own and everything was taken from SEOClerks.

Initially I started with 2500-3000 social signals. (After 7 days of domain registration)

Later, I ordered some profile links and after a couple of days social bookmarking links.

In the meantime, I was also searching expired domains to redirect. Luckily, I got a DA 25+ non-dropped high quality domain which had contextual live links from all the major tech publications like Techradar, DigitalTrends, TechCrunch, Wired.

You name it and it was already there. The domain had close to 130+ RD of which more than 100+ links were contextual.

I redirected the domain in the mid October closely between 9-15th date.

Previously, my site was not showing in the serps at all. But after the redirection it started to show up in the top 30-50 position.

Later out of no where I started ordering GSA gigs directly on my main domain. Yes, it sounds foolish but some how it worked out for me.

I took 7-8 GSA blasts in every 3-5 days.

All my keywords started to pick up and they were now ranking in top 15-20 spots.

Out of the 250 targeted keywords only 30-50 keywords were ranking in the top 20. I made a list of all these keywords and ordered PBNs for each in a batch of 5-10 each.

Waited for some more days and all the keywords started to show up in the top 10.

Finally, the event was about to come and all my keywords were on the top 3-5 positions and as usual all the news site came to eat up the rankings.

However, I still had a plan and my friends ready for sitewide links :p I took some free and paid sitewide links and BOOOOOM my 7-8 main keywords started ranking above Digital Trends, Forbes and Inc.com.

I was ranking number one for the keyword "Google Pixel Black Friday" on 23rd of November and many other keywords were on the top 5 spots.

Overall, I made 1800+ dollars from Amazon Associates and 95$ from Adsense.

My 2 cents for you SEO is all about experiment I tried and it worked for me. Maybe it will or it might not work for you the same way. However, something else will work. Don't give up and keep trying. :)

PS: Don't PM me I'm not any expert. You can ask your queries here and I'll try and answer them as quickly as I can.

Thanks and keep hustling guys! <3

How did you get so much social signals did you buy them or did yourself?

Oh great we'll was definitely a eye opener I had not thought about black Friday IL keep an eye out for a nice domain for September ;) cheers

Nice case study.
Looks like fast money method. BTW what happen to the site. You already spam lots of backlinks on it and no way it will stay at top on google for long time..

Yup. It was just a churn and burn.

Super idea !!!
Glad you liked it.

Yes @omzo, that's a complete churn and burn. You can try it once. Would like to know your results.

did your rank drop after a while? I thought when you blast a hug amount for GSA link to money site it will rank for a few weeks then drop again

So, after all the backlinking and all, your profit is a negative?
I am in super profits, because all backlinking and content was done by my own in-house team.

Yes it dropped. But as I stated it was all churn and burn.

Every content and link building was done by my in house team, so I didn't spend much.

I provide these services professionally, so I didn't face any problem in link building.

Is this turning into some kind of hidden sales thread? You state in your post that you ordered pbn links, that you ordered gsa blasts and that every link was taken from seoclerk and you didn't build anything by your own.

It's actually sounds perfect when you want top3 for few days, great share, thanks!

great idea. will try to do more research and will come up with a good plan.. Thanks buddy

Thats great idea.
I had tried event blogging for Christmas last year, didn't go well. I was able to rank only for few 20-25 KWS which had less volume and made around $150 max. Do you use expired domains for building site?
I might give it another try :D
