Making a movie

I know this is definitely not simple but I have an idea for an animated movie which I want to bring to life how would I do that?

No I would probably find someone to fund it to me and the only thing I have now is the idea and I’m writing the script and drawing the characters

Nah I would find a team and pitch my idea to get funded

What about just finishing the script / characters and trying to sell it as a finished script? It might be hard to get it in front of a production team but if it's good, you could probably find someone interested

It would be better for long term if I was the director but I thinks it’s good

I'm only guessing.. But my guess is that you'd need a lot of experience and you'd need a deep understanding on how the movie industry works, and understand the technical things behind directing. But best of luck with whatever you choose to do

I actually have a short film certificate..

if you have a story, first write it down in terms of scenes

then for each scene make a shot list, you can make it on excel

a shot list is basically the list of all the frames that make up all the scenes, you can add the location/ time/ camera level to each shot in addition to characters an the camera movement

then you go on to make storyboards using any tool or even on paper, just sketch out all the shots

once the idea has been solidified partner up with animation studios and work with them
