Alexa Ranking Increasing Rapidly

Hello Folks,

So I have just build my website (celebrity blog) using php Laravel framework instead of Wordpress. It has been just a month it was indexed in Google. I add some 2 articles per day. There are total of 20-30 articles right now. I have done some basic SEO and link buildings. The Alexa Ranking show 98,000 US traffic rank during first week after some weeks it shows 83,000 and now it shows 70,495. What is the reason behind this drastic change in Alexa Traffic Rank. Does this affect to my site. Any SEO expert and other web developer if you have any idea please comment on this. I am little worried of this situation.

Do you have the toolbar and keep checking your site 10xs a day. Auto page refreshers even lower the #. Also, I think developer sites that check the site on like 200 browsers can affect the stats, It's very accurate but lower is always better so I wouldn't be complaining.

Its all about alexa toolbar. If you and your visitors have it installed and spending alot of time on the website then it will increase drastically. Thought i believe it has nothing todo with rankings anymore

Do you have the Alexa toolbar?

If you do, then it's probably you constantly checking the site.

Alexa can crawl virtually all sites on the web regardless of toolbar installation.

In fact, they disabled the tool bar feature few years ago.

I read that also but it is 100% not true. I believe they said they placed less weight on the toolbar in their algo not got rid if it. You can test this yourself Install the toolbar then go to your site or put on an auto refresher. My site will go from 8ook to 300k ranking in 1 week. Each day you can see it go down. Its updated daily. Then remove the toolbar and in a months time it will slowly go back up to the same level as before. They problably state that because of what a ridiculous way they get their ranking system. This still works today I did it 2 weeks ago while we were making a deal with another company just incase they wanted to compare our companies. If you also run an office it's good to add it to both browsers on all office computers. It's a stupid hack but it 100% does work. Google does not include alexa in their algo like people have said before. My serps never change when I have done this.

100% Bogus - They still have the alexa toolbar available for download on the alexa site lol https://www.alexa.com/toolbar it might not mean as much as it used to, or refreshing constantly might not have the impact it used to, but it still exists (I use it all the time when I am doing niche research and checking potential competitor sites)..

Because a lot (actually all of them that pay high dollar) care about it - and use it as a major deciding factor to accept you or not.. MGID, Taboola, Criteo, Outbrain, and tons of others pretty much all of the major players..

* Keep posting high quality interesting content to maintain and improve alexa ranking.
* Keep on building backlinks from authority websites.
* I guess this drastic change will not affect your websites.
