I accidentally posted my affiliate direct link into a forum post and not the link to my site :(
And a load sold :) - :(

I have the “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.” in my sig

I'm going to get banned arn't I ? :( bugger

Yeah but someone had already bought some items from the link, but not the item I had linked to.

You might get away with doing it once, you'll see in 60 days when they pay you ( or not ) mate. If it's an old affiliate account you're safer than a new one.

This is not correct.

I've seen accounts get banned for social media links not listed on the accounts site list. The rules also do say you can't post links on domains you don't own (obviously - they make some exceptions for some social media sites).

It'll be down to luck if they look or not. I wouldn't worry about it too much but edit the link or delete the tag from your affiliate account if you can't edit the post.

Yeah they are picky bastards .. the thing is do I wait for 60 days and loose any commission on the legit site, (probs wont get any yet as its a new site) or just switch to the backup account.. ? I'll see... its not vital, I started it as a suck it and see venture anyway .. lol
