How long to bounce back at first page?

To make a long story shory, 6 years ago i had a blog with 50 articles that shoot up and ranked no#1 for main keywords just 2 months after a built it. The site rank because of good content, only build a few web 2.0 backlinks and blogger comments links and made me some nice side income for several years. then as you can see, because i did not add any new content at all i started to loose rankings and eventually come down to almost zero traffic.

If we dont take into account the fact that there are more competitors today than they where 6 years ago, and only take into account the fact that the site lost ranking because of lack of new content, how long would you say it would take to bounce back if i add arround 2 new articles each day?

Also kindly give me any advice you might think of. Thank you in advance for your time.

Did you checked if your blog was hit by a Google algorithm change ?

thanks for your reply. As i watch the graph of the declining visitors over the 6 years, it looks like a gradual drop, not a sudden drop from a google algorithm change. Perhaps i am wrong but is nt it natural for a blog to drop ranking if there is no fresh addition every now and then?

You should take competitors in account because this is what happened, so, you need more than new content to bounce back

If you let a blog fall from #1 for six years straight that's gonna be a mighty hill to climb, I'd give it 1-3 years, depending on the competition
