Thats out of case really.I recently created an account for a client's website. Used a VPN to setup the account thinking the few days of cookies on my browser would suffice for verifying that I wasn't a bot, spam, etc.
Banned. Immediately. I was never even able to log into the account–which is how I noticed the issue. A warning appeared when trying to login referring me to contact support.
So, my only option for recovery was reaching out to their support via a "mobile only" link. There I found a portal to submit my issue.
In order to even submit the request to lift my account ban, I had to either provide:
A. EIN/tax documents (my client was unlikely to send a copy)
B. proof of business location (there isn't one yet)
C. provide proof of ownership for a 'business domain.'
I chose the latter option despite it being fairly vague using my namecheap purchase receipts including the business owners name, the same name used to buy the domain and create the IG account.
A couple days went by and Instagram was a ghost town. No confirmation email about my request, not even to let me know that they received the form. Plus, I was unable to create another account with the banned handle.
FINALLY, on the third day I received an email letting me know that the account has been reinstated. No reason for the ban was provided.
Bottom Line:
If you're creating a spam account, do the steps up front to make your account appear to be connected to a business. If you're creating a business account, save a copy of all your paper work and receipts for domains and other online assets–you will need them!
And your creation way is worse.
And youre just created one account.
Like OP said, dont bother to speculate
