Clickbank Account Suspended

I get that but for clickbank to take action on an average of an affiliate 100 sales compared to a vendors 25,000+ sales is not fair. Who's to say maybe the next 50 sales for the affiliate brings down the chargeback and refund rate. I'm so done with Clickbank. Thank you Manscar for your reply.

On the other hand, who's to say the next 50 sales won't be 50 refunds? That's a coinflip. And if your refund rate is high as mancar suggested you've probably marketed it to the wrong crowd or made unsubstantiated claims or just excluded too much info. Sometimes pushing the impulsive buy while not explaining to the user what they will have to do ends up in a refund. Because they go in expecting a simple solution to their problem but then learn that they need to learn how to cook and forage for ingredients indigenous to the Madagascar rain-forest.

Whats the difference between ppc targeted traffic and media traffic? Ones extremely targeted, and on the other the customer is not necessarily looking for anything but was intrigued by an ad that they seen and clicked on the ad to the offer. Not to hijack thread, but I hate these arguments. In my case, I was using ppc targeted traffic and like a good affiliate, I watched the entire vsl and made the angle of my landing page BASED ON THE CLAIMS OF THE VSL to get the "click".

Marketers have been marketing to the wrong crowd for years and made trillions doing it. Look at the ads you see on tv, are they really marketing to right crowd (late night infomercials)? I don't drink or will I ever experience menopause, but Im bombarded with these advertisements daily and Im pretty sure the "Vendor" is making good money from it.

It's no difference in affiliate marketing, if you get the right ad in front of the right person at the right time, you will get a sale if the product converts. People buy to solve their problems and if your offer didnt solve their problems you get refunds.

@mancar487 What is the sample size they take into consideration before axing an affiliate/vendor. As the previous poster said - I would guess 100 sales is pretty good sample already but what if I have sold only 5-10 items? Any insider info? Thanks!

They review accounts at the end of each month and they look at percentages rather than numbers. E.g. If you had just 10 sales but 5 got refunded, you're into trouble.

but then learn that they need to learn how to cook and forage for ingredients indigenous to the Madagascar rain-forest.

LOL that cracked me up!

I'd love to know which products caused all your refunds?

I got my account issues resolved.

Had a high refund rate and charge back rate or something. But its all sorted now.

The reason they responded today was because I contacted someone via their live chat support - and they were kind enough to open a ticket on my behalf to get this mess sorted - otherwise I'd probably be waiting another 7 days for a damn reply. What a joke.

I am in a similar situation now.

I was promoting an offer that had subscriptions. They killed the vendor's offer so I had nothing I wanted to promote but the subscriptions kept going and subs have a higher chargeback/refund, I guess.

So they suspended my account. Which is kind of weird, to me. I mean, I could understand if they stopped the subscriptions because of the high refund rates. But they are letting the subscriptions continue, charging the customers and then just not paying me. That seems kind of...criminal.

Which products. Would love to know to avoid.

Well I'm back... Clickbank suspended my account again but I was able to get it back after a few months. Banked around $45,000 in a couple of months then hit with the ban hammer. Moral to all of this is to not put all of your eggs in one basket. I was ramping up to about 3k a day then with no communication I get suspended AGAIN. The reason for my account being banned is because, "I should never have a refund rate over 15% and chargeback rate over 1%". My refund rate was around 16% and chargeback rate around 1.09%. (The amount I earned along with chargeback rate and refund rates are a 'little' dishonest... I don't want to be identified by Clickbank prying eyes... I'm still in the process of trying to get the rest of my money back... lol)

Clickbank know they have a chargeback problem and majority of their products produce high refund rates, but since vendors products create over 60-70 million a year (my estimate) it's easier to ban a handful of affiliates and not the vendor. If they ban a high-converting vendor product, how will they make money? Affiliate won't send paid traffic (volume) to products that don't convert.

Here's a case study of a program Clickbank hired to helped them with their chargebacks (clickbank knows this is bigger than an affiliate sending shady traffic or promoting products unethically). -----> https://www.kount.com/case-studies/clickbank-chargebacks911 <------ Jennifer Johannsen, Director, Risk & Compliance at ClickBank explains what led to the deployment: “We were experiencing a high-volume of chargebacks with merchants that employ repeat monthly subscriptions, multiple re-bills, and upsell funnels. While we have a clear and generous 60-day refund policy, too many customers appeared to be filing chargebacks instead of requesting refunds. And other customers looked like they were simply engaging in friendly fraud...getting the digital content they wanted and then claiming a chargeback, with no effort to request a refund.”

Just be careful guys. There are better affiliate networks out there who respect their affiliates and have open door communication when problems arise and just don't ban your account without warning you of issues first.

I told myself, I wouldn't promote another Clickbank product but I couldn't help myself when I knew the potential profits this product could make me. I was in communication with Clickbank support constantly and was even skeptical about sending large amounts of traffic to the product. Clickbank support told me on two different occasions I have nothing to worry about, and that my account was fine and healthy. Then around 2 weeks later ban hammer!

Also, I wouldn't be shocked if Clickbank started exercising some of their rights within the Clickbank client contract. If you haven't read it yet, I advise you do (when it comes to suspensions)... you agreed to it!

I have nothing to gain with this post. Just want to alert others about "my" 2nd experience with Clickabank suspending "my" account.

Is it possible to create a new CB account with the same name?

Haven't tried it after getting suspended, but I do know one of my other Clickbank accounts was suspended as well.

When my hoplink appeared to not work initially, I put in another one of my account names and it was suspended as well. I just checked it (other account) while typing this and now its working as it should be for Im no longer suspended.

Not sure if it's because of same name, address or bank information. Safe to say it's all of the above.

Just noticed my account got suspended... Didn't receive an email so don't know what it's about.
Any tips how to get it back? There is still 800$ on it...

Was the account under your real name and real address?
