Clickbank Account Suspended

My clickbank account has been suspended due to "fraud order".

I already make +- $5,000 sales but what i can see the refund rate is so high - 20-40%.

I'm promoting my site using adwords.

Adwords > landing page > order page

Which is allow by the vendor.

So what to do now? I can just create new account but still using the same site? I'm afraid clickbank will detect and suspend my new account.

Tell us these things:

1) U made $5k from one order? :P
2) Were those traffic targeted?
3) What did CB say in the email in regards to suspending your account?

ClickBank won't suspend account on the basis of refund rates because you are an affiliate and you are promoting someone else's product.
 
Ask CB support, I have experienced like this and can re-activate my account back!

Clickbank WILL suspend an affiliate account on the basis of a high refund rate, because it can be that this high rate is due to the affiliate's marketing technique e.g. making claims about the product that the vendor does not, or misrepresenting the product in any way. A refund rate of over 20% is problematic to both vendors and affiliates. That is why I always stress that the refund rate is just as important as CRs and avg $/sale. Many WL or MMO products fetch high refund rates - these need to be factored in.

Contact support and address this. Find out what you did (you should know) and tell them how you are going to rectify this.

One more thing, today supposedly i get the balance of $300+ to my payoneer account. On clickbank dashboard it show paid. but until now i dont get the commision. Have anything like this ever happen to you?
 
I have banked hard with CB in 2016 and 2017 with 15-20% refund rate and under 1% chargeback but never faced any issues with it.

Just to confirm were you promoting diabetes lie offer? Since this offer has very high refund and chargeback rate, CB tends to suspend many affiliates accounts promoting that offer, not because of offer but because of refund rate.
 
I had the same thing happen to me using Bing Ads. I had a high refund rate for an weight loss offer. Clickbank suspended my account and held my money for 4 months ($1200.00). After sending numerous emails to their security department, they finally reactivated my account after I sent copy of photo ID.

The thing is I didnt understand why the refund/chargeback rate was so high until I found the vendor upsell pages using Google. The vendor had the decline link for upsells so small and didnt look like links to where the customer was kind of forced to upgrade their order. Shadiest at its finest but my account get banned go figure. I'm done with Clickbank and anyone who signed/acknowledged the new Client Contract should of read it carefully. They're doing business alot differently these days.

Tell me how is that in anyway an affiliate's fault if the customer does NOT like the product when the product is from the vendor and not the advertiser?

If there are high refund rate and chargeback, then CB should suspend the vendor and not the affiliate. Because it was his (the vendor's product) and not the advertiser's.

Or am I wrong on this? ClickBank masters, please share some insight on this.

And OP, how much did you make by promoting this product and did CB paid you anything?
 
clickbank rate vendors and affiliates with those numbers of refund and chargebacks, if your traffic source lead to higher rates they will protect the vendor and eliminate the affiliate, they rather lose sales commissions
than deal with the refunds/chargebacks that hurt their %

some PPC marketing tricks to increase conversions may lead to refunds/chargebacks or the product itself is the issue.

if i were the OP i will try to find alternatives (using the same infrastructure, Adwords campaign, landing page), maybe same product has another affiliate platform, or finding similar product on other platform
 
OP are you claiming things in your promotion and landing page that the product does not give or guarantees?

They will ban vendors on the basis of a high refund rate, but it can be for example, that the vendor has an avg refund rate of 10% while that affiliate is registering a refund rate of >20% for that product. This would point an issue with the affiliate.

This is often due to the affiliate's marketing technique e.g. making claims about the product that the vendor does not, or misrepresenting the product in any way.

For example, if I have a product that I claim can make you lose 7lbs in 7 days, yet an affiliate claims that my product will make you lose 10lbs in 1 day, then buyers purchasing from this affiliate - enticed by the latter claim - will ask for a refund when this does not happen. The issue here would be with the affiliate's marketing, rather than mine as a vendor.

Have to say you're wrong on this. With vsl's being so long nowadays, if an affiliate did make that claim a customer has forgotten and solely glued to the vsl of the vendor. And they pull out their credit card based on vendor claims at that point.

Its time to start holding vendors responsible for crappy products. Clickbank wont especially if they're making alot of money from certain vendors because without a high conversion rate product where does this leave clickbank with a bunch of affiliates... no sales, no business.

The affiliates get them intrigued, the vendor closes the sale.

I can assure you that clickbank DOES axe a vendor whose refund and/or chargeback rate are higher than their threshold.

Moreover, since May 15th, 2018, we as vendors are charged a $1 fee on every refund, even if we have a low refund rate.

In addition, vendors with chargeback rates at or above 1% accrue the following fees:

$22 per chargeback if the account's CBQP chargeback rate is less than 1.00%.
$29 + ClickBank's margin per chargeback if the account's CBQP chargeback rate is between 1.00%-1.49%.
$49 + ClickBank's margin per chargeback if the account's CBQP chargeback rate is greater than 1.50%.

This means a vendor with a high refund or chargeback rate is automatically driven out of the business, even before CB 'officially' takes action.

When CB penalizes an affiliate for a high refund or chargeback, it means the affiliate was generating a higher rate than the average for that vendor.

I get that but for clickbank to take action on an average of an affiliate 100 sales compared to a vendors 25,000+ sales is not fair. Who's to say maybe the next 50 sales for the affiliate brings down the chargeback and refund rate. I'm so done with Clickbank. Thank you Manscar for your reply.
 
@mancar487 What is the sample size they take into consideration before axing an affiliate/vendor. As the previous poster said - I would guess 100 sales is pretty good sample already but what if I have sold only 5-10 items? Any insider info? Thanks!
