Yeah.. I would definitely get into LinkedIn and do some networking! There is a lot of demand for app developers, you just need to know where to look. I recommend buy LinkedIn subscription.

I used to be an IT professional myself. Still have a huge passion for it (Server Infrastructure Consulting)
I think you are better off applying yourself to out of country IT companies.
Can you get a visa? Lots of companies hire immigrants. But it's more of a long term solution. Sounds like you are looking for something immediate.

Go to the embassy of the country you wanna go and apply for a work Visa.. Start there... If they give you one then next you will need an airline ticket! once you arrive you must live somewhere.. Then go visit offices.. No one will give you a job online just like that!!!

yeah basically if you are free user and try to bid on many projects, then they will ban you because you are not useful for them as a free user

yeah and I tried to switch but you know unemployment is too much in India, everyone is ready to join on less pay.. that's why recruiters have many options.
