Shopify is introducing its own fulfillment centres that will help you store and deliver your goods just like what Amazon FBA does, but under your own store and brand name.

I don't know how this will work because lots of people are attracted to Dropshipping because you don't buy products in bulk like Amazon. If I have to now start buying products in bulk I won't do it on Shopify. Hopefully, they have taught this through. Again not sure the details so I can't speak to much on it.

It's open for merchants of all sizes as per Shopify presentation.

I don't know how this will work because lots of people are attracted to Dropshipping because you don't buy products in bulk like Amazon. If I have to now start buying products in bulk I won't do it on Shopify. Hopefully, they have taught this through. Again not sure the details so I can't speak to much on it.

Dropshipping is not a long term business model. You can start with dropshipping to test the waters but scaling up is not possible. Not unless you have reliable suppliers in the same country where you're selling your products.
I'm pretty sure shopify's pricing will be competitive with respect to Amazon FBA. It will help a lot of sellers to take their business to the next level who didn't move up the ladder as they were overwhelmed with multiple tasks related to stocking, packing and shipping.
