Identifying fake comments is quite easy once you've been to sites that provide them. Like most services got a few niche options so that the comments will tailor to that particular niche. But my niche is nonexistant on most of these sites, so they'll have to order a comment package that's "generic comments"

Meaning that it almost never fits the picture. Nice feed, nice profile etc on a photo that asks people to comment what game they want or something like that.

My competitors are really big established companies that already have a big name in the industry. They don't use influencers on social media. They use Gaming pro's (athletes) the budget for that is enormous.

Already on it my dude! I was too inexperienced a year ago to pick my keywords ( i lterally picked the most competitive one) But one year later, i'm already nearing page 1

It is tough in some niches and not so tough in others. But i find the level of fake in my niche ridiculous right now. But i'll keep moving on!

At the end of the day it's all about brand awareness (or brand reputation, call it as you like) and exposure. I've been working in advertisement for many years and my suggestion is to focus on your brand and think out of the box when it come to influencers. Even before IG and social media become huge part in online promotions, brands all over the world (in every niche) focused on ambassadors for their products, that could pass down trust in the product itself, even if the influencer/ambassador was someone not related to their industry.

In "classic" advertisement (TV commercial, newspaper, billboard, etc.) you may find infinite example of famous personality that promotes something which is unrelated to them (i.e. football star promoting a razor, an actor promoting potato chips, etc.), just because it has been studied and demonstrated that someone like this can influence the buying decision of a customer, because they trust him/her.

This apply also at a smaller scale. You don't need to hire Messi or LeBron, you may find some influencer (or even micro-influencer) which has high engagement with his followers and who will help you build your brand reputation and spread it, even if it is outside the gaming niche.

Of course it is better if there is some degree of relation within the niches, but again, think outside of the box. In digital marketing people sometimes fail to remember that there are real people behind the screens, and in your case a gamer can be (and surely is) interested also in other things apart from video games.

I am not saying that targeting the right audience is an easy game, but just don't focus only on your specific niche. This is also especially important if you want to grow big. Work hard, study the market and try something new. Eventually you'll be fine.

I can get why you would come to that conclusion but i've got a checklist and it is almost always checked. Socialblade numbers, generic repetitive comments, a high following count (could be follow for follow) engagement drops with thounsand likes on one post but the rest is all fine.

They don't have to be bots in order to be fake. Tons of people join a program that will use their account to post to other accounts and get the same in return.

Use Hype Auditor, if you are not sure the account is fake or not.

You can use simple trick to get always the review for free.

One would have to be under the influence to trust an influencer.

Small influencers are just as fake as big ones, they just haven't gotten themselves big.

It's common knowledge and that scam is going to fizzle out - which is good, because companies will order some real content instead of cheesy snapshots with "influencers" sitting on their bed surrounded by orange balloons.

PS: I saw many comments with the blue tick and thought this must be genuine. Until I saw that account reached the full amount of likes within one hour. Looks like blue tick accounts sell their comments - fake fake fake.
