Usually in the world and especially with teens and schools - the "loosers (who will be glad IG hides those numbers ASAP)" numbers are higher than "winners (those who are so proud of the presence)"

The reason why IG experience tremendous growth within short period of time is because people care about numbers (likes, followers,comment)and they strive to create quality content to get such numbers. If ig remove likes and follewers, it would die a natural death

IG has data we don't have. They're the only ones who can make any estimation on what hiding those numbers would do.

That said the thread title is wrong. Even if you hide these numbers from the user there are still top posts and the discovery page. If a panel is able to avoid detection then the metrics it can send can still boost you to reach actual people. Actual traffic.

It'll screw with the influencer marketplace, sure. Good bonus for the middle man influencer services since they'll be able to vouch for account stats when they weren't really required to before.

But if you're driving your own traffic from an IG page, nothing really changes.

You over-analyze everything. Instagram is better than facebook because of its simplicity and better design - mostly due to hashtags. Small accounts can reach viral thanks to their content and good use of the hashtags already with numbers existing in the UI. Why change that then, no point.
People don't go to IG because "highers up are already there" xD, they go to IG because it's simple. They know they gonna see only nice photos, videos not some stupid posts with ideological bullshit. They see what they like, they click like, follow, comment, SIMPLE.
So why instagram will die without numbers? Because literally every teenager, model, influencer, photographer, chef, dog, cat, meme, traveler, architect etc. cares about numbers and is addicted to them. Also sponsors, investors like those numbers visible, delete numbers - delete money.

If they go because of Z that means that Z have a major influence role where its prefered than X.
If you have something who have Z + First Mover Advantage + Big Boy Reputation it will always be favour instead of something who doesnt have Z neither first mover advantage, things can only outbeat stable things when they are revolutionaire + social proof + exponential growth.

Google is not Instagram, are you even serious? You see websites in search because they either have lots of organic backlinks or they pay to be there. Instagram gives you oportunity to promote even with few hundreds followers by reaching viral. But by deleting numbers they will get rid of 3/4 of their userbase and investors and there will be no one to either get you to viral or see that you went viral because they'll be long gone on the next social media that shows numbers.

Instagram keeps deleting my accounts, even after I have my VPN on, and change the email. My friends hardly never get deleted, however mine constantly do. I was thinking that it may be because i have a Samsung but i dont know for sure. Any advice is welcomed

Followers and likes won't matter of course. The one thing that could be still helpful from all of these SMM panels are the impressions that you can get for cents. If Instagram were REALLY to move to hiding likes and follow counts, influencers and brands would rely on impressions for their monetization and analytics. SMM panels can you get you those impressions CHEAP and targeted. However, they don't translate into tangible results for possible shout outs or product placement but to if you were an influencer you could run up that shout out bill or product placement.
