Now I understand when people are resetting device ID and clearing cookies....no problem at all. But this is legit an account wide block- clients cannot even follow on their phones.

Same, no issues here too.
This change in IG shouldn't be giving you any blocks at all if you guys were approaching botting right.

Hi! Unfortunately, I don't have good news. Let's be pragmatic and analytic.
I am running 250+ Instagram accounts on my own BOT & PROXY solution and NONE of them get blocked or received the announcement from Instagram that you have shared your password...
I am doing < 200 / 300 interactions/day with time delay and sleep mode.
I have attached the statistics for a Young Account because I know the young ones are much more sensitive to like/follow block.
In my opinion, the Follow block that you are facing right now may be caused by:
1. Interactions over 6000k / 30 days
2. Jarvee / GM2 / FL leave footprints and for Instagram is easy to track/block them.
"Next level" is going to be the announcement that you have shared your credentials with an application, is going to disable those accounts that will keep on automating.
I have 100% Real Informations that this is already happening on some Instagram accounts that have been received the 2 types of announcement...
So, let's be realistic about this problem. Things are happening, open your eyes!
Automation won't be easy and cheap in the future.
It will be a combination between good quality software that isn't available for the open market, TOP QUALITY PROXY & good quality content (for big follow back ratio).
No more 600+ interactions/day because this is SPAM, no more SPAM DM's (I have certain info that accounts are disabled also for DM Spam), no more "AWESOME PICTURE" comment.
Try to understand that the game has changed, the rules have changed and we need to adapt to the new ones!

Nah, sorry this is BS..
If you have been on botting long enough you would know this is happening every single year multiple times.
Not only botters are having issues and there are outages. This is enough proof that Instagram is either facing some difficulties or they are updating, both of which takes some time to complete.
I believe in 2 weeks or so it will all pass and it's back to normal. However i do believe Jarvee now has to catch up to avoid the IG message saying to change password, this will be done too...
While everyone is panicked i am just here creating hundreds of other accounts.

I'm doing automation for more than 3 years since now, so yes, maybe I don't know what is all about...
We will see if my predictions will be or not right.
Meanwhile, I will let you use your time in creating hundreds of other accounts. I will use mine to continue the automation because all is working fine

Jarvee has nothing to catch up on and same like @shadowboy_2019 I'm having no issues at all.
It's mainly just IGs algho filtering out unexperienced botters.

As an additional update:
- besides the reasons for the block, the follow block seems not to be set to proxies or software
- once blocked, even on phone or through website I can't follow any new accounts, getting a message telling me that this actions has been limited etc.
- it might be that there is indeed a block at certain number of action per time periode.
Question: The info that you gave on "Interactions over 6000k / 30 days" tested / verified? or is it an assumption? At 300 actions per day you would be already at 9000 per month...

I have been using in the past Jarvee, Instazood, FollowLiker, GMT2, etc. All of them are using the same technology and are easy to be tracked.
This is why we have developed our internal code/software. It's kind of easy to detect the pattern and fingerprints.
Try to understand that on Facebook & Instagram are working the BEST programmers from all over the world.
What makes you think that they don't know, tested, decrypted all these public solutions like Jarvee, etc...?
They know more than we think, trust me!

It's an assumption based on all the info peoples are sharing about this topic.
But as I have mentioned, I'm doing 300 actions per day for more than 3 years and still now, NONE accounts get blocked (250+ accounts we are administrating right now).
So this is why I hope to be true the 6k assumption so you can find a solution and stay below.
Meanwhile, I'm very curious to see if any of the accounts inserted into our local software will get banned because many of them are having more than 7k interactions already done...

Everytime IG is doing major updates (SUCH AS THE CHANGE THE PASSWORD MESSAGE) Jarvee and other similar software USUALLY update their software to keep the customer base.
The followblocks are random and have nothing to do with experience, for example: I tested my personal account on the home IP doing MANUAL f/uf and still got follow block. Tested my second IG doing exactly the same amount of manual f/uf on the same IP and had no follow block. It's random and sooner than later your accounts will be hit most likely.
Experience is based on testing ideas on a given time line, not on empty words.

It seems new accounts weren't affected at all. Maybe it's just for me or I got lucky, I don't know

3 years sure... then you should know by now similar is happening every year and can last weeks.
This is the best answer that I read in the forum. You are totally right.
Maybe it's just a matter of time to back to normal. I hope so. But after reading this paper from facebook research site (https://research.fb.com/publications/following-their-footsteps-characterizing-account-automation-abuse-and-defenses/) I think that they really know how to beat botting services.
We have 150+ accounts running on a custom software powered by AI to do less and human like actions and 80% of the accounts got follow block message, 3 got shared password advice.

We shall see. My opinion remains the same.
I NEVER had Follow Block on any of the Instagram accounts that we are currently managing (250+). I am not talking about the last months, I'm talking about more than 30 months. So if you say "it's normal", ok. It's your "normality".
Only in rare situations, we had Soft Ban / Like Interaction for 24h. This is happening when the software speed is fast and also the user is initiating a lot of manual interactions.
Any block is a clear sign of a red flag on that Instagram account. Have you made any statistic regarding your post reach after those blocks in the past?
Is anyone considering this also when we are discussing automation? Because I saw a lot of accounts growing with Jarvee very fast but the reach was lower than ever. In some situations, the reach was lower than the one before starting the automation...
So my question is: where is the focus here? Because if your reach is going down, buying fake traffic will be the same as automation => reach is destroyed.

Yep, it's a nonsense to believe that they don't know how the automation works. Come on. They allow automation to exist.
If they want to stop it, I can give you 5 methods how to do it like yesterday. You just modify the login criteria and that's it, door closed for automation.
Let's face it. Automation won't be the same in the future. It's time to find new solutions to do it smarter and non-spam. This is what we are doing and all is working perfectly!
