FedEx has elected not to renew one of its contracts with Amazon for their Express overnight and two-day service.

"FedEx has made the strategic decision to not renew the FedEx Express US domestic contract with Amazon.com, Inc. as we focus on serving the broader e-commerce market," the company said in a Friday statement.

Interesting stat; Amazon constituted less than 1.3% of FedEx's revenue for the 12-month period ended December 31, 2018.

Not a big loss for Amazon since they are in the works of own delivery

Amazon are just too big to worry. In my area they use their own drivers

In my area 90% of the packages are through their own service. In my eyes, amazon got rid of Fedex 8 months ago. If FedEx only made 1.8% off Amazon then the contract probably just didn't make any sense. Amazon using the equivalent of Uber drivers in my area. They aren't as caring to the packages as FedEx or ups but they are better than USPS. I don't really care too much, I don't need my package delivered by a 55-year-old man that make 70k a year with a full retirement package. It's not rocket science, deliver a package, repeat. USPS is insane for giving those pensions and going bankrupt because of it.
