How can I open another Amazon affiliate acct?

My Amazon affiliate account got terminated last summer. I had a legit website but I messed around and spammed my affilate on social media (Twitter, reddit, etc.). They caught that and closed my account.

So i decided to create a new website and applied for another account yesterday (with different address, email and phone number but with my name). I got an email today from Amazon that they did not approve my request due to what happened last year. How did they know it was me by the way?

So am I out of luck now? Or is there a way to get around this? Also, since I listed my new website...am I still able to apply with that website?

Yea, but I have a common name though..I dont think they would reject all applications for Bob Smith if he got his account terminated.

They cross reference everything, you have to be careful, did youbuse your same ISP?

Before I try it, I want to see what options I got. I dont want them to blacklist that ISP as well. I was thinking of opening ana Amazon acct under my wife's name with a new ISP and list the same website. Do you think they would have blacklisted my new website now?

If you've already entered the site URL they associate it with you, you'll need a new site as well. Also different bank details, everything has to be different.

I was afraid of that.i already built my site so I have to figure what to do with that. I do have another bank, so I can use that information.

OK good luck, but as a passing thought, don't rule out eBay, same products, same sellers, just as big. I've made good money out of eBay over the years.

Thanks, I will make sure to check Ebay out. I definitely have to look for other affiliate options. I just hate that Amazon can do whatever they want to affiliates..but they have such a big ecommerce, that we need their customers.

You can, you just can't post your affiliate link directly on social media, which was what I screwed up doing.

Why don't you just buy a new domain name and copy your website on it? Easy.

Too bad situation, it's just the case where you really need to check all the rules out there for basically anything like that. Obviously you got caught by the name and by the ISP I would say as well as maybe some more things. They are good as google with that.

Ok update time:

So I sent an appeal last week to Amazon, explaining my situation on how I didn't renew my old domain and accidentally promoted affiliate links on social media but I follow the TOS with my new domain and Amazon account. I called them earlier this week for an update but they told me to call back in 3-5 days as it's still pending. I called today, and now they tell me it typically takes 7 business days to review and that I will get an email answer. If I don't hear back, they recommend I email them again. Sooooooo I'm getting the run around.

Instead of waiting around, I'm thinking of just opening another one but this time:

- using my family's info, address
- use a vps ( will I need to keep using this vps while I login into Amazon associates?)
- brand new domain (is it good idea to redirect the domain I just opened to this brand new one?)
- anything else I should consider?
