Another Google Update on It's way

email list also ." subjective " I got tons of marketing emals spam inside my mail box , frankly speaking I just remove , never click the link. Of course i never say email marketing don't work, Still work even big companies still using email marketing.
but now a days is more like Update their stuffs

Well there is a process to get the emails to get into the inbox folder and not spam. And most likely these emails are from spammers who did not target their mailing.

Anyone experienced any ranking issues so far? My websites seems intact so far.

This is the calm before storm bro . I am pretty much sure the site that went down the line or shot up in earlier updates will follow the same trend . I am braced for the nose dive .

Nothing beats the ROI that email marketing can give you if done right.
Mail providers and spam filters don't control my lists or my traffic, or have major updates like this that will keep me awake at night wondering if my sites will go down or up.

No they don't control your list but def. your traffic. I did email marketing for 8 years and I'm glad I'm out of that game. Much more headaches then SEO sites with affiliate marketing and own products.

Off course ROI on email is very lucrative but don't state that you don't rely on external factors like SEO on G or social platforms. Also email marketing can be shutdown in a wink like your sites with a G update. The statement that there aren't mayor updates is not correct either.

This is what came to mind when I saw this from my google alerts:

SEO is dead. You heard it first here folks. The update will change ranking algorithm to a roulette wheel. Wherever the ball lands will determine your rank position. It's all up to chance now.

In all seriousness this should be interesting. I agree with @Viniyois my idea of SEO has also been a transition away from backlinks and more to E-A-T.

E.A.T? What's this please :D

That's just your opinion, on what's more of a headache.

You don't need to rely on Google or social media to do email marketing.
Getting shutdown is not a big deal, its part of the business sometimes. There are ways to lessen the effects.

For me the ROI is enough reason to do email marketing.

Well, we need to diversify our traffic but
After any update, we would find a way around.

Google is great but not perfect. Never.

Still all the bh works; keyword stuffing, spammy links, parasites depending on how you do.

Just keep an eye on it and be smart, work harder!

You don't need to rely on Google or social media to do email marketing.

Actually you are.

What I meant to say is that also with email marketing you rely on third parties, not specific Google or social media but the email providers (hey, also Google!) and anti-spam algorithms. Sending email is easy, getting it delivered into the inbox is the most crucial factor.

And even if you master that, one single update can kill your whole strategy or email infrastructure as in getting pointed to spam, bounced and that sort of stuff. Been there, done that.

And yes, it was my opinion based on my experience.

i heard teams of special Google workers will be picking and putting websites into SERPs manually soon

They do have tons of manual reviewers. But impossible to sort trillions of sites by hand.

Waiting for the sellers to promote their service in the thread.

"None of our clients were affected."

"Most of our clients has seen an increase in their rankings"

BUY MY LINKS BITCH.

I never had noticed that some of the commenters were BST sellers. They never get affected and when they do it's always good lol.

What's your source?

He was joking but not entirely wrong.

tar cf ./moneysites/ oldrankings.tar

That's too old school.

I do git commit -a -m "Well shit, google update. Next strategy from here."

Google analytics again is down

Their backoffice team be havin a horrible start of the week. Probably worked overnight.

Awesome post. Download the guidelines, hadn't looked at it in a while.

Brace yourselves guys. Some will benefit. Some won't.

Thanks, Sherlock.

Nothing so far.

They will tweet on theire Twitter (https://twitter.com/searchliaison) as soon as it is live

They never tweet in predictable ways. One time they let the update pass and announced it after it happened as if it were still to happen, just to catch all the SEO tools off guard. One of the most famous SEO tools BACK DATED the update change LOL. Their tool didn't detect shit. The SEO world is like that.

And yes, it was my opinion based on my experience.

In any business you need to rely on third parties to some degree. Every company in the world has third parties, suppliers basically, that help it conduct business. There is no one man show company.
But there is a huge difference between having my business built upon the mercy of another company or platform.
With social media or SEO and all that, your strategy is dependent, for the most part, on a platform or company and if that company chooses to change it's policies or ban the type of ad you promote, or make an update like now, there goes your business.. just like we are seeing right now.

My point is with email marketing I own the traffic which is my lists and which is my asset, and can produce it in the most cost effective way. Even if you got banned from one ESP, assuming you are using ESPs to send, you still own your lists and your business is not as effected like with a google update. You still have your assets which is your lists. There is no such thing as single update that will destroy the whole infrastructure.

So I don't know about you but I prefer to take my business in my own hands and not dependent on a company or platform or whatever.

This will be interesting...the battle between Google and the SEO community continues...

I continuously read this thread. scaring still not confirmed news ..

we all know there will come a day where google devalues any link from websites that don't get decent organic traffic (bye bye pbns)
Yes, and then there will be people sending fake traffic to their PBNs or find other ways to get traffic. There will always be a twist to get higher rankings.

wow...it'll be fun to see the G weather charts now!
who will be most affected - blackhat, greyhat or whitehat...let's see.
