Etsy Journey

Tuesday Update:
The week was good, not many sales as expected, but now I can say I'm being able to figure out what is working and what is not working. Etsy is not giving me results as I wish, I'm kind of upset with SEO, which I think that my SEO is much better than the competition, I'm doing some AB tests to see what works better, some of my items are on the first page, some are not even close.
I tried a different approach on Etsy ADS, which is giving me a better ROI, It's the first week of two weeks test. So, next week I'll be able to refine it. The first part of this test is to set a US$ 15.00/day budget and 0.12 Cents auto bid. The plan here is to create a analysis of the posts which give me better results with this budget.

I followed William's advice and went to find youtubers, I was able to make deals with micro influencers and I think I'll start to see some results soon. The best approach was, by far, talk to them directly by Instagram. They don't seem to check e-mails.

This week is the first gem show, small one and I think it will be a nice marketing tool and if I break even I'll be very happy. Small budget, hopefully, good return.

you mean as a gift and in return a possible shoutout like that?
Did not understand the question =D

Ups:
- Was able to get my shipping on time to the Show
- New Etsy Ads tactic
- 2 youtube micro influencers
- 100% 5 starts reviews on Etsy
- Found 2 new sellers in Brazil, more organized and more reliable

Downs:
- Etsy SEO is not my friend
- Need to focus more and get shit done

For next week I need to:
- Complete my long term Business Plan - Not done yet - low priority until next week
- Finish all small tasks for gem show - WIP
- FUP youtubers - 2 out of 5 (list built) - WIP
- IG micro influencers - 0 out of 5 (list built) - WIP
- Post 45 new items on Etsy - Not done Yet
- Rebuild my Pinterest strategy - WIP
- Measure my Etsy Ads strategy - Done
- Buy my stuff from Brazil, which needs to arrive by may, 30 - Done
- Organize the merchandise to the small expo - Done

(Should be) Tuesday Update:

Hi guy's keeping up with the Updates! Was not able to do it on tuesday, I was a little bit overwhelmed with the gem Show stuff.
The Gem Show was very nice, sold more than expected, gave away more business cards than expected and did more networking than expected. So, it was a nice experience and I'm definitely doing a lot more Shows/Flea Markets.

This week I was not able to keep up with Instagram as I wish I did, posted some stories, most about the sold items, but nothing more than that. I think I need a new strategy because the engagement is very low even with consistent pictures/videos. I'll update the parameters on the robot. The good part of Insta is that I managed to make 3 good sales straight from Brazil to jewelry makers, with those sales I managed to complete my monthly goal of selling 1000 dollars.

The new approach on Etsy ADS seems to be working, I had more sales with a smaller budget, my ROI is better and now I need to upload more items, I sold more than 50 on the gem show which were on Etsy. (which is good for me and bad for Etsy)

About micro influencers, It's time to get back to them, last week I was able to get 2 on board, need 3 more this week.

Ups:
- Gem Show was very nice, broke even and was able to have a little profit so I'll re-invest all the money
- Etsy Ads working better than it it was before
- New Merchandise from Brazil arrived (not for the gem show, but arrived)
- Had my best day ever - selling by instagram and by Etsy
-

Downs:
- Instagram Engagement very low
- Still figuring Etsy SEO
- Little to no time for doing needed stuff
-

For next week I need to:
- Complete my long term Business Plan - Not done yet - low priority until next week (again)
- FUP youtubers - 2 out of 5 (list built) - WIP
- IG micro influencers - 0 out of 5 (list built) - WIP
- Rebuild IG strategy
- Post 45 to 100 new items on Etsy - Not done Yet
- Rebuild my Pinterest strategy - WIP
- Measure my Etsy Ads strategy - Done, waiting more 2 weeks to see the results and refine
- Subscribe to 2 GemShows/Flea Mkt
- Update my etsy macro

Thanks! What I did so far is a follow unfollow macro o Macro Recorder, It's not working 100%, it's more work to fix it before use than follow manually. Whenever I create a more advanced one I'll be happy to share here.

seems like it's making progress! Good job!

But what is Gem Show?

I' m outside USA, how can i signup and upload my product? Etsy is requiring Usa address and last 4 US social number which i do not have.

I'm telling you now that you wont get anything close to the ROI you will get if you work with small to medium Youtubers. Send out a few bars of soap to these people and you will get a ton of traffic and sales. You can easily do a search for "soap reviews" on YouTube and filter the search to show new videos, decide on a size for the influencers and just send them all emails, some will take you up on your offer. I found that I would get several review requests for each review we had go live so it turns into a snowball effect and as long as you can keep up its a great way to grow a business like this. I hope the stuff in your personal life settles down too. All the best and good luck.

Do you have any advice for budgeting for this?

What is the going rate for a small youtuber?

Price Range
My products are selling from US$ 9.00 to US$ 75.00 where the avg price is US$ 29.00. My markup selling on etsy is 73% (avg)
Just a comment on Pricing theory. Pricing in 9's will convert better, ie $29.99 & $19.99 . There is something called the left digit bias, we read from left to right, and even though we know its $20 we read the 1 first and it tricks our brain to thinking its 10. Also ending in .99 indicates a sale.

This shouldn't work with Asians, right to left, right?
As a result, I did not find an answer to the question of how to register on EStY without an American residence permit -_-
And of course I really want to know at what stage of the business a lot of time has passed.

Correct, if Asians are reading from Right to Left then it would be the opposite. I can only speak from someone whos opened a shop in the US, I didn't need to give any govt id, just a bank account, but I know once you hit a certain revenue amount they will ask for more information like an EIN tax number.
