Best hosting provider?

Hey, I recently set up a blog and my hosting provide is bluehost but the more i look in to it the more i see people saying that hostgator or other things like that are better for site speed etc. This is my first website so does it matter? should i switch or is bluehost okay for what i am doing right now?

Namecheap is the best for me. The customer service i second to non. I once messed up my site by installing a virus theme. Those guys saved mew almost $100 i would have paid to fix it.

I also saw a thread here of someone who registered a misspelled domain name. Namecheap fixed it all without extra cost.

Recently migrated 2 sites to namecheap hosting, their support is good, loading time is fair.

These threads all end up the same.

Hostwinds is good. I use namecheap for lots of stuff too.

But anyway, everyone will recommend their favorite host and in the end OP won't get a definitive answer.

get a self-managed VPS and make your own hosting on it. Usually significantly faster than shared hosting.

Both Bluehost and Hostgator have similar services. I had had both the service providers in the past. Features of both the providers are great and can be done in one click. Site speed also good and there are tools like Varnish that can speed up your site. Just enable them. Their promotional offers are awesome but once promo expires their prices are high. If you are not making money with the sites, you would feel the pinch. That's the reason I migrated to Interserver. Price is cheap and locked till I stay with them. That's around $5 a month. Speed is descent. I have 4/5 sites are there and I'm happy with them.

Not sure which host to recommend but I would definitely stay away from host winds. My site is down multiple times every day so I'm about to switch to a new host myself. From my research I'm either gonna go with site ground or green geeks unless I find something better.
