Starting Dropshipping Store From Scratch With Only $150

Hey man about your problem that you should be way more profitable. Consider these things:
- the generel stuff: how does your store look like? Is it one of those spammy looking shopify stores with all those "special offer badges", "recently bought" and colors that simply don't fit. You said you are selling tshirts and hoodies. Do you display people that are wearing your clothes in your product images? How do you go about branding? Do you follow the same scheme?

- how does your ad look like?: people are on secial media to interact with other people NOT to buy. Know your target audience and see which content they like in general and then try to create ads that are similiar to the content your audience likes.

- impulse buy: does your product solve a problem? Why would someone buy your product? What are the benefits for the consumer? Do your clothes fit into a passionate niche? It is really hard to sell to cold traffic especially when a simple tshirt costs $40. You are still targeting Instagram where a lot of young people hang out. They don't have the money to buy a tshirt for $40 and honestly I also wouldn't unless it is something really special. It is a lot easier to sell products that are below $30 and have a high benefit to the customer's life.

these are some pointers we can use if you plan to go to dropshipping...quoting it for future reference :)

It's pretty amazing how many people visited my profile from those shoutouts and actually about 315 clicked on link. 315.. Which amazes me and it also amazes me in a very bad way that there weren't enough sales. Yes, I said it again.

I MUST say that, This is REAL GAIN from your shout out. I'm into women's fashion niche (not clothing), but pretty broad. I was thinking to start with facebook ads but from your IG campaigns it looks pretty interesting. May I PM you for some info about those influencers?

It's harder for a broad niche to go with influencers but that's just my opinion, but of course, it's possible and very possible to generate traffic. Yes, you can PM me :)

I bought that domain about two year ago to start a store. It was just laying around for so long time.
However, I'll list some trendy products that falls under women's fashion and try to promote them :)
Ok, I will PM you. Thanks

Just a personal advice, I read your description and you said multiple times " I will succeed or I will fail".
Get your mindset right, in my opinion should be "I will succeed."
If you keep planning a failure plan B you will end up with that plan.

True, I can agree with that, but what it fails? I putting my energy and mind for it to succeed, but it's not going as I wanted.

Update:
Yesterday I managed to post on the same big page but for a 24h. And story post for a small one. It was the biggest day so far but still very shitty. I have the same issues, conversion rate being only about 2%

800 visitors and only 14 orders, the only good thing is that the average order value is $28

Also, just take a look at this:
IMG_9464.jpg
This should be pure gold.

All this traffic is absolutely highest quality from people who are interested in a specific niche which is pretty narrow.
Note: shop has not only expensive ass t-shirts, it also has very affordable stuff.

The bad thing that the shop is not converting. Now I posted a story on a high engagement page for $35, immediately received 50 visitors and 0 purchases.

I really don't want to seem like I know how to set a store.. but the shop looks really good, I saw a lot of high converting stores and mine is not worse from design perspective. Maybe products are bad, but again, why do you click on the link and visit website if you don't like the advertised product. You can say prices, but again, there are multiple products to choose from.

It's a bit of blindspot. Will try to figure out, and if you have any advices once again write them here, I am very thankful to everyone who is trying to help, and trying to implement all of you guys said.

The store reached first 1000 in sales. And you can use this store as an example that sales number doesn't mean anything since the profit is only about 100-150(just preliminary number, I'll calculate exactly at the end of the month).

Hi
It's a very nice journey thread,
I think you can push up your AOV with Upsells.
Also you can get those abounded carts back with some email marketing.

Which payements methods do you use ? Do you think that using just Paypal may lower the conversion rate ?
another question please, what engagement rate do you go for when picking influenceurs ?

great journey my friend! I am starting a similar journey and would like to know if you added any fake followers to your ig or was it a 100% fresh account with no followers

Yes, I need to add upsells. But maybe it's a bit too early because I don't have resistant sales. But almost forgot that money in dropshipping is not about being made at the first end. There are upsells, email marketing, retargeting... sadly I am noob at all this stuff.

90% of my customers use credit cards and few PayPal. So, yes it harms conversion rate.
Pages with at least 2%. 6-10% is perfect.
GL.
what payment method are u using on your store mate??
Stripe and PayPal

I bought 5k followers but it dropped very much, now I am gaining it organically.

Yes, for example few of them did not ship the products for 5 days and it's sucks.

hey man, i got question for you, for now i'm using woocommerce with paypal only as a payment method cause stripe isnt available in my country so i was wondering what do most of your clients use paypal or credit card?
thanks for sharing
Greetings.

Have you tried using US suppliers (if your customers are from the US)? They ship pretty fast. Oberlo has option to choose US suppliers for your store.
Cost is higher than aliexpress but it pays off by giving reputation and when customers know that they are buying from US suppliers. You just need to mention "product from US" or something like this along with quick 2 days delivery. Most US dropshippers ship within 2 days.

Please let us know the outcome if you try this.

Hey, good luck on the project!
What is your order fulfillment process? Is there automation involved or do you manually place the orders in aliexpress? Have you made any special agreements with the suppliers about discounts, branded packaging or the order process in general?
