As per Current Rule, a BST seller allowed to reply to a post in his BST once every 24 hours.

So, Every Seller has to check his Last Post Time, Current Forum Time, his Timezone etc. to reply in his BST Thread. This is time consuming and mistakes is happening.

For ex: few posts of mine deleted and i am seeing many sellers unknowingly make a reply to posts with in 24 hours just like me.

My Kind Suggestions
1. If the forum has the option to enable the reply box once every 24 hours for the seller in his BST that will be useful.
2. An easy one, Allow sellers to reply to posts once a day. That can be any time. For ex: if seller wants, he can reply like this.
His Last post shows yesterday then allow the seller to reply to posts today.

Thanks.

How about you pay attention to the time you posted previously?

You have violated that rule more than once and have received a warning for one of those times and alerts for the other.

It's not all that hard to know when you previously posted.

Paying attention is really hard that's why i have given my kind suggestion. I accept my violation and warning and those are mistakenly happen. Because some of my post deleted. i have seen that time thing. Also, we will never be online every 24 hours. Sometimes, we will check whenever we are accessing the forum.. If my suggestions are accepted i will be happy or i will follow it.

If paying attention to a time frame is really hard you might be best closing your sales threads.

This is just a suggestion thread. Why hard reply.

If there is any problem for someone then he should leave the forum as per your post. I am out of this argument.

If I were a marketplace seller, I’d have reminder in my calendar - every day at 9am; answer questions in sales thread. Every 3 days at 9am, post a promotion. Simples.

There are 47 ways to manage your posting in a thread from a simple note on a pad next to your computer to using a time management deal as simple as Google notes as well as a bunch of free apps for that even.

Hard response?

My response is not hard; I'm just not a fan of people who won't take 38 seconds to make sure they don't violate the ToS here to get a leg up on their competitors.

It's a simple rule and super easy to follow and there are a plethora of ways to manage that.

i really get your point , but from other side implementing auto block marketplace seller from replying under less than 24 hours it's just few lines of codes and will save mods time from issuing infraction/alert and editing the wrong time post not mentioning the headaches mods gets from sellers after each infraction/alert in PMs ...

We rarely give warnings for that and in fact the last issue with the OP, which was today, was just an alert.

It's a simple rule and super easy to follow unless you don't want to follow the rules here.

I guess we could ask Damien to code something to stop referral links, inappropriate language, hacking requests, sharing things on the do not share list, signature violations and a bunch of other things as well OR we can just expect those of us in the community to just follow the rules which are not aggressive in nature at all.

Step one: Post replies in your thread
Step two: Set a timer for 24 hours, or an alarm on your phone
Step three: Timer goes off
Step four: Bump your thread

You expect people to trust you to build EDU and GOV links to their money sites, yet paying attention to one of the most basic rules of the forum is "really hard"?

Want to know when you're providing quality services? When you don't have to rely on spamming "sent you a PM" every 24 hours to maintain a steady flow of business.

I am not yet a bst owner in bhw, but I think this is really easy to maintain using google's scheduler. You don't even need to type anything in. Just switch on google assistant and say "remind me to bump my thread after 24 hours" (I use this more these days, because I have a hungry baby to feed every 2 hours lol). That's all you need.

There's no need for any special coding when all you need is a bit of caution, and perhaps a scheduler lol.

Feedback works both ways, i.e. you give feedback and receive it.

Asking BHW to invest time and money into coding something to help you follow the rules is always going to be a lost cause, especially when there are some very simple workarounds that have been suggested to you.

It doesn't matter which timezone a person is in, 24 hours is still 24 hours.

Set a timer to reply each day at the same time ( use multiquote of needed ), if nothing to reply to after 3 days, then bump the thread.

It's not rocket science.

I seriously facepalmed at some of the mods replies. Sure if is not possible/too expensive etc - cool, then says so. But if there is a way to make something stupidity proofed - you just do it. Its benefits you, benefits the users as well.

It is a low level, almost insignificant need. If we come across 3 of those violations in a week it is a lot. If we warn 1 of those three it is a lot.

There are much bigger fish to fry that the techies are working on that have a significantly much bigger impact on the site.

Facepalm all you want but this is not an issue that deserves any real attention from the point of view of those of us that use the broom and mop when it comes to that sort of ToS violation.

I think the 24 hours rule is not that hard to follow as mods are not that rigid if you reply again after, say, 22 or 21 hours, as long as there's only one reply on any given day.

ive had 5 sales threads in 10 yrs , and even though im pushing late 40s now
ive never had a problem with a simple concept .

sellers can post every 72hrs on there sales thread.
but - if a buyer posts b4 that time i can reply
seems easy enough. though im off to university
to learn how to tell the time. wish me luck
