Hello there.
On a freelancing website, I got hired to make a website. Im going to get paid around 750$ for it, which is awesome.

The thing is, bc he said his bank account was "double remit twice", he cant pay using paypal or any other online service.

He want to pay me by check, and to accept that check, I must be located in the USA, which im not (I live in Canada).

How can I accept his check?

I would find an escrow service that can provide an agreement between the two parties.

Avoid check payment, it takes two seconds to cancel a check.

Just watch out for scammers and make sure you have rights to the domain before even thinking about accepting a check as payment.

Theres a high risk of getting scammed? They can cancel the check? How much time they have to cancel it?

Yes, check payments are not safe online.

They can cancel it as soon as they write it and then send it to you.

Your bank will cash it and then it will bounce and you will be whatever the check was for.

Okay then, I will tell my client that this payment wont happen. Thanks.

It's most likely a scam. I know a freelancer who received the same exact script that you did regarding the claims of the client not being able to use paypal, and needing to be located in the US. He didn't accept the job. Don't accept the check payment.

You can accept the check and cash it first, then deliver the website.
Be safe. Something sounds fishy here.

Definitively. Since I started talking about payment alternatives like "Ria money transfer" he stopped answering to my emails. Probably could've been scammed there... :anyway:
