WTF happened to me, I use to have dreams and work my butt off to achieve something.
now I have a job and lost the motivation to do these things.
How do you pass this and get back motivated?

what? do you want me to go to the beach?
what are you saying?

If you like the beach.

I'm not a fan of the beach as I lived on the ocean and the waves made it hard to sleep.

What I am saying is that life is not always go-go. There are times we need to just let things be and exist and let our minds and bodies rest and at some point you will get that fire in your belly again.

Try to find a hobby/project you like and focus on it. Maybe it's some sort of sport, like tennis. Maybe some weird meetings (not AA).
just don't come home and watch TV 24/7. Waste of time.
Learn magic tricks :)

I understand what you are saying but what if life was a go-go situation?
Btw I really like going to the beach.

I don't like TV either, the internet is more fun :D
thanks for the suggestions, I need to search around a little

WAKE UP EARLY.
having a lie in will only lead to an unproductive day.

get up real early like 5am.
have a coffee.
and start reading bhw

Life should not always be a go-go for us. We need to allow our minds and bodies to rest so our creativity can regenerate.

I grew up a mile from the beach and lived on it as an adult.

You can have my positive memories and I'll bury the negative ones in the sand.

You don't need motivation, you need discipline. If you are passionate about the pursuit of IM, you can make time for it alongside a day job. I know this because my life is demanding as fuck and I can still make time.

@BassTrackerBoats is spot on with the ebb and flow comment. And I'll take @tarman5490 's comment and spin it into:

get up real early like 5am.
have a coffee.
and STAY OFF OF bhw

Stop reading useless methods and filler posts and use your productive time to BE PRODUCTIVE. Reading BHW is fine, but don't start your day with it. Do the things you need to do before doing the things you want to do. I stick to a morning routine that allows me to have almost a full day's worth of tasks done before I even get into the office: http://sherb.me/morning-routine/.

Discipline. Not motivation. Motivation is shit. Here are some tips https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/what-are-you-doing-with-your-time-if-you-have-a-8-hour-job-and-also-want-to-do-im.1105214/ that are still relevant today (except the journey thread):
  • Deal with it. Keep in mind, by having a job and the means to get online in the first place, your situation is already better than 90 percent of the world.
  • Don't spend time searching for motivation. Instead, develop your own structure and cultivate discipline.
  • Chunk your time up. https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/sherbs-2019-journey-productive-and-profitable-a-thread-full-of-gold.1081592/. I've got 20 projects going on simultaneously, in addition to a 45 hour a week job, a family, and a house to maintain. Sometimes i want to dump everything IM, but then I structure my time and it gets better.
  • Change jobs to a relevant path. My ability to work on my own IM pursuits increased drastically when my day job fueled learning for my side gigs.
  • Sleep more. Get at least six hours, or you will spend more time working at non-optimal levels of effectiveness.
  • Wake up early. Here is the morning routine I've been doing for a month now: http://sherb.me/morning-routine/.
  • Don't be afraid to fail. Most of my projects either fizzle into nothingness or fail miserably or get backburnered until they are no longer relevant or interesting. Focus on your successes, learn from your failures.
And above all, don't give up. Eyes on the prize, my man.

Interesting question. My case is exact opposite. I have a high paying top job in my country. Yet, the salary is very less compared to American standard. This motivates me a lot to do IM work for extra bucks. The interesting thing is that I earn more with online work than my regular job. I'm tempted to quit. But certainly I won't do any knee-jerk reaction. Will quit when I have enough financial security. As about you I don't know you income level. If it is more than that you have made from online work, that could be the demotivating factor.

I'll explain in pm why my situation is different
