Link Building Still important or working for SEO ?

There won't be much left of the SEO if we exclude link building.
You can prolly rank a social media page/profile or a page created on an expired domain for a very low volume keyword without any link building but I really doubt about doing more.

By the way, Link building is not dead yet. But yes irrelevant strategies are going to die. I mean to say if your link is quality and good content oriented then it will provide you benefits.

Link building is still very important. Even if some "expert" tries to make people believe otherwise.
If two equivalent contents compete for places in Google's search results. The one with the most relevant links will win the battle.
