still people dont know how google keyword tool works.

lets say we you check for the key "backpain"

lets say keyword tool says 600.000 people searching this

that means if they search "backpain execices", "Backpain help", "Backpain fucks me up"

that all counts in!

you can check better numbers with [backpain]

now take this number for example 15.000 and do 15.000 - 20% and you have roughly your Traffic for number 1 in Google.

1) is it sufficient just to ping pages with your links once? or is more needed
2) do you worry about link velocity? is there a max number of links u build to a page per day?

How do you know you where #1 today, are you using some sort of tracking software, or are you searching for the keyword ever 2 seconds

PS: Hehe if you're doing that then the remaining 14k searches that are not getting to your site are most probably yourself checking the keyword rakinking all the time hehe anyways... congrats mate I really enjoy reading threads like these were after doing all this work and everything you're still willing to contribute to the community rather then just keep everything for yourself like 99% of the rest of the internet marketers etc are doing...

I know exactly what you're referring t as SPAM, and they seem to work.
But I'm having a difficult time with these because some are foreign and I don't how to comment/leave a link on a blog that is in chinese.

Do you do all the commenting manualy, do you use roboform?

How do you automate or semi-automate the process?
It's too time consuming to leave links on these pages that take time to load. (I'm on a 24mbit broadband)

Would be greatful if you had some tips on leaving links faster on these spam sites.

I did not mean leaving links on sites spammed to death... Just check the links of your competitors, ull get a brief idea on where you should place your own links... check Micallef's threads.. He is a genius @ this.

Dude, I was there.... Now the 200$/day is where I am at after some hard work...

1) I usually just ping em once and leave 'em to search engine spiders to update
2) I do not worry much about velocity.. I do not mind getting sandboxed either... you will get out with better SERPS...

Ok how do you harvest URL's I mean a URLs in a .TXT file each url on it's own line...
I've tested a url harvester, using the search term "link:competitorswebsite.com"
But here's the problem it only returns around 300 links in the .txt file.

BacklinkWatch.com seems to find over 6,000+ links that link to my competitor, but it has 2 problems:
1) It times out after 30 seconds, so I only end up with 600 links instead of 6000.
2) I can't download all the urls as a .TXT file, for easy access and importing into software.

The URL's I'm after are 99% blog comment area full of other webmasters spamming their anchor text.

Yeah it's spam, but then again there are people making 7 figures using these tactics to promote viagra and shit.

Please get back to me, I know this is where the gold is.
That is combined with decent content and SEO.

There is no set number of backlinks you "must" get....just get more then whoever is currently rank #1 for your keyword.

The key here is to get majority of your backlink properly anchored back to your site.

I have finally reached my first goal.

My main keyword is #2 on the First Page of Google.

I have followed lots of White Hat tips shared here. Put some Greyhat and after less than 8 months I am ranking 2nd in a 30M Search result keyword.

It is funny though that the Adword Keyword tool estimates a 20,000 search volume for this keyword while I am only getting 3,000 from that specific keyword. However, I am still happy with the results and want to thank all contributes for their amazing success stories and shares here.

PS: I know I have a very low post count, but I am one quite observer reading all new threads. lol

Well, methods used were not Blackhat and I cannot consider 100% whitehat.

A couple of Greyhat with good Keyword targeting

Search was done via Google Phrase match (Search in quotes)

So far I have built 2000 links to rank solidly at #1.... Lately I have not concentrated much on relevant links as I discovered its the number of backlinks is what counts most.

1) I submitted an article to eZine for every main page of my website which is approximately 40 Main Pages. What I mean my Main Page is each page that has a high potential on making money either via Selling a Product, affiliating a product, etc..

2) Later on, I submitted these articles to 20 other Article directories. I spun some articles but mostly were the same

So, the article you submit to eZine, is it just a duplicate of whatever is on that page of your website?

Or do you write an article to put on your page, then spin it and submit to Ezine?

Or do you just have something completely unique on the page and submit a relevant but different article to eZine?

ReciestMonkey, I don't usually repost the same eZine article to my website and prefer to give it a little spin.

Posting the same article on your website to eZine will not work as eZine articles only approves unique articles that pass CopyScape.

I'd like to know how many unique visits you get everyday....

One of my blog page ranks #3 ahead of the .co.uk official site but below the .com site. But it gets very less traffic. I hadn't done any monetizing yet so I'm now planning to add a gateway.....if we can add a gateway on blogspot, that is.

One more thing, what's a good backlink volume?? I actually didn't go and build any backlinks for that blog of mine, so maybe that's why I'm not getting traffic. Maybe if I get some good backlinks the traffic will improve.
Another mystery that's eluding me is, how the hell did I reach no.3.. I just rewrote some info from Wiki, gamespot,etc and put it up on the blog. No promotion on my part.I swear it!!

I am getting about 6,500 traffic for that specific keyword at the moment. I am ranked number 1!! Yes, I successfully outranked the official website. lol

Regarding your keyword ranking no#3, I guess this is one low traffic/competition keyword since you are not getting traffic from it and ranked no#3 without any SEO.

The more backlinks you build, the better you will rank... Simple enough!!
