Agreed. I earned a decent amount from IM till date, but that was never enough for my lifestyle tbf. Some people do get huge sum with IM, and I envy them.

On the other hand, my salary is pretty good to live happily and do what I like. Luckily, I am one of the few who love their job lol. No matter how much I earn from IM, I will never leave my day job. It's fun and fruitful at the same time.

Have a look at the journey section, most guys over there are desperate to make 5$ a day from IG, how could you live from that?
It's always fascinating how many people are against college education and 9-5 jobs in general yet this is what most people end up with.
If you are from a third-world country where you'd make 2$ a day working full time then IM can really great take care of your family if done right. But if you are European/American and do not even try to set yourself up for a proper career next to IM that is questionable imo.

I agree its definitely not easy to become wealthy off IM with little effort or even a lot of effort. That's probably why there are so many people selling courses on how to do it, rather than actually doing it. It's not impossible but is surely isn't easy.

I believe it's totally possible to make it on IM in the US or Europe. But many don't have the time or the drive to commit to it. No one is going to build one or 2 projects and become rich. Many projects will not be sucessful, some will make small profits and some will be highly profitable. But to reach those highly profitable projects takes experience and failures to learn from. Most don't have the determination to stick it out when the 9-5 is their bread and butter.

Social media and search engines have made it harder to game the system, thus , requiring even more determination than in the past. In the US and Europe there is money in client work if you have the skills of dealing with customers and managing projects. This is where I make my side money and I am near a point I am about to say goodbye to the 9-5 and grow that part of my business.

I have to admit, I do have several side projects that earn money (albeit small) from more passive IM projects. I just need the time to scale these out to increase income from those sources.

Just because you and others suck at earning from IM doesnt make your input correct.
I am 30 years old now and have never worked from somewhere, always earning good from IM.

Believe me, its not a luck. I failed 1000 times to find the 1 succesful one. No one here is an Einstein, and we all have 0 knowledge/skill when we first started IM.
I spent my young ages all from morning to night in front of computer. My grades suck hard at high school, because I was always in front of my pc.
The nerd students who make 30/30 from tests are now working in Bank 9-5 job with a very small money, while I am counting my $$$ in exotic islands in Thailand with my gf.



He said, IM cant make a living, and I say no, it can.

Simple as that.

Totally agree on the point that it is not luck based. You need a lot of time investment, a lot of determination, a lot of sleepless nights and dedication. IM is not an easy field, not easy at all.

Hey, 50$ is 50$ - You gotta learn to work with what you got. I started my IM Journey with the same amount as well. It's not easy and you will most likely lose that money. But who said that IM was easy? If it was easy then everyone would be doing it.

Most of the people that start from third world countries or even young entrepreneurs from first-world countries don't have that much to invest. I know and truly believe that having money makes IM much easier, but I myself have seen a lot of journeys where people started with less than 100$ and made it to 5 figures and now going after millions.

I am doing multiple stuff and I make a living working from home 4-6 hours a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

Stuff I make money from:

• Running an Ecommerce site
  
• Doing SEO/Local SEO/Audits for clients
• Renting an apartment
  
• Creating Websites (Wordpress - basic sites, not into code)
• Running a few affiliate websites (still a low income - need to put more hours in them)

I am still a student (my final year) and I plan to get more serious after I finish the college. Open a company, hire a few IMers full time and start working on my own projects + clients.

Yes but these are people that we are not talking about here.

In Fact i know that @Geasy puts in a fuckton of work in every day. And this is not something for the fainted heart. And not to leave out other people, i know a lot of real entrepreneurs in BHW that are putting in 10-12-14 heck even 18 hour work days in. And they make a killing. Well deserved in my opinion. We are working hard to archive what we want out of life, and its not easy.

You can either spend your time in and make a killing - Or you put in money and (hopefully) make a killing. I think the majority of us put in the time because failure = learning.

I feel like I have balanced my life with my job and will increase the tempo in small steps with time.

I believe happiness is an ultimate goal and you need to balance everything to be happy but I also know I need to work more to reach my goals.

I started out with one domain, no tools, wrote like a crazy man all day long and posted that domain on free sites on a regular basis.

My total investment was like 10.00 for the domain and 5.00 or so a month for hosting.

First revenue as after about a month and a half of work from Adsense was just under 800.00.

Hard work does work.
