[Journey] Let's grow this website till it becomes an Authority

Update:

Uploaded 3 articles on my site today. Today is Sunday so most VAs don't work on Sundays.

So I added those posts myself and did a lot of thrive architect work. Actually enjoyed it a lot...

So I worked for 7 hours just to add those posts on the site.

I didn't know that adding articles can take so much time and the stuff the writers write most of the times is pretty lame :l

So a good VA / proof reader is needed af.

Most of my VAs have good sense for design but they lack in communication and English writing. So probably have to find someone who can proof read better than me.

I learned an awesome life lesson recently that no work is big or small if you're getting something out of it.

For example, when I was broke:

I loved finding good domains, making new links, writing my own content and a lot of other things which I now pay for as I think that doing these things is not worth my time. I have better things to do and such.

But, recently I started doing the things I used to do before. Before I made my first dollar online...

And, I am enjoying more than ever :)

The thing is:

I started 16 projects in 2018. Sold 2 sites and got penalty on 3.

You know what, most of my sites didn't even reach 10 dollars a day.

Here's why:

I was dependant on other people to do the work for me and from a remote location.

They are not driven for the project and they won't do shit for you. You have to plan out everything...

Else, it will just fail.

I am sad about 1 thing though, I don't have system in place for my sites. I can't really just set it and forget it. I have to do my part to make it into a success.

For example, I trusted a person a lot but he never delivered the work. Waited for 4 months for him to deliver but nope. What's more stupid is, I believed in him more than myself and waited for him to start the project. I didn't start it myself!!!

So I literally lost 4 month of project time because of my fault. It's business baby, keep moving or someone will crawl over you...

Even if you have all the money or skills in the world.

So business advice, don't depend on anyone just keep making new connections all the time.

For JVs, I will recommend that you vet the person you JV with. I hate working with people who don't know shit or knows a lot of shit.

I have had positive and negative experiences.

I will tell you how to choose the best ones though...

From my experience, don't work with people who are motivated. Work with people who are driven!

Most people might not understand the above line but here's what I mean:

Example time again,
I am currently in a JV with 3 people. I know exactly which project will fail and which will thrive...

One of them will message me almost daily to ask questions like "if I do silo for this category will it help or won't make any sense coz the number of articles are low" and "how can I group these keywords the right way, help me make a structure of this article so that it's beneficial for our readers", "bro, we need to work on user interaction more, tell me what to do"

See this guy is from my college and they have 3 man team. They built an awesome Indian brand for 3 years but they earn really less right now.

So because of that the parents have started to push them to earn $400 a month (job).

Most parents are afraid of unemployment in India. And, they know most start ups are just for fad.

So they want the best interest for them and guys want to continue building out their brand.

So that's their drive!

And the drive is crazy. They work af to make it happen.

So I know for a fact that the JV with them will turn out to be a success. No luck needed.

Now, 1 Jv guy just talks about the money. He gets motivated only when I tell him that there's a lot of money in this project and we have to do this and this.

Now, he probably does his own projects, I don't know but I told him a few tactics to make $500-1000 dollars a month easily and now he mostly focuses on those .

Doesn't see a bigger picture.

These tactics won't stay forever. Plus it was my researching skills to find those tactics. So he probably learned nothing out of it.

So there's a big chance that this project will fail. We can get lucky though as 1 sale can bring in $300 per month of recurring income.

I hope we are lucky :)

So business advice, choose your partners wisely...

Driven > motivated.

And, do stuff!

People say make mistakes or something like that a lot these day :P

But, that happens when you do things.

Don't worry about being penalized. Keep building links (vet your links too) but don't be afraid and procrastinate.

Better to build links and get penalized! Take it from me :P I have learned a lot of stuff that comes handy when you're ranking a site just by fixing the manual penalties.

PS: I sound like a guru sometimes (that's my basic instincts I guess), I have nothing to sell right now.
Maybe in future if I decide to enter marketing industry but I have better projects now...

And, I like sharing stuff here.

Even if 1 guy likes the content I write my work is done.

It's 8am in the morning and I didn't sleep that's why I am writing a lot.

I don't know why I like writing so much sometimes.

If you don't understand something let me know because I don't proof read my posts here and I mostly forget what I write.

So questions are welcome.

Just think of this section as entertainment section to build your business in affiliate marketing and SEO lol.

Follow the guys like backlinko and others they know a lot about SEO than me.

I am just a dude, who is lucky af :)

How are you planning on indexing the backlinks from the jefis list?
I didn't plan anything yet. I am just putting in the work right now.

Following this journey!
Thanks :)

Thanks for the feedback!
Good luck on your journey. I'm sure you'll crush it!
Thank you mate. I like it that your list keeps on growing :) already started making a few links to the homepage.

Makes my life so much easier. I don't have to give a sheet of what to do to my VA lol. They just login and make the links.

I love your posts.
Do you think it is a goos idea to build one to two backlinks to homepage per day only?
Currently I am dding between 5k and 10k content a week. With 7 backlinks per week. Some to my inner pages and some to my homepage.
In two or three weeks I won't be able to publish any new articles for good month and a half. During that time I would like to aid my site somehow with as little time as possible.
So I thought I will continue building links atm and then just focus on the domain only and maybe 1 web 2.0 per week to "random" inner page?

I wrote an awesome content or atleast it is my best work so far (thank god for grammarly) and I would like not to f up the site.
I was thinking about purchasing the access from jefis.
I would love your 2 cents about this.
Anyway, as always great update. I will be following :)

Now, he probably does his own projects, I don't know but I told him a few tactics to make $500-1000 dollars a month easily and now he mostly focuses on those .

Can you also share me the few tactics to earn some money? thanks very much.

Great journey you have created. Really liked reading all you have done so far.

It's 8am in the morning and I didn't sleep that's why I am writing a lot.

How many hours do you average per night? I'm trying to transition to early mornings instead of late nights, no easy though.

Following your journey. All the Best
Thanks

Awesome.

I am too late to answer but I will.

If it's a site which means a lot. I would recommend a 70-30 ratio (if the site is new)

Don't go and build 70% pbns to homepage but keep building different types of links which every business has and mostly your competition has.

Then once the site is old.

You can start 70-30 (70 to inner pages).

I like building 1 web2.0 a day.

I let then index naturally, some take upto 30 days to get indexed.

So just wait it out :)

6-7 hours mostly.

Enjoyable read Webminati as always. I think I have asked this before but how do you set out your site in terms of articles i.e how many info, how many best of, how many top 5 (or similar)? Also, I presume the info ones link to the best of or review ones?

Hi,

Have been following your journey and have implemented a few of things you shared in your journey on my tech-blog.

I started on 2nd of March, 2019 and today according to ahrefs my site has close to 33K visitors (site is 1year old and had 9 articles and now has 52 articles ) but according to analytics its like 350+ visitors a day.

I started posting like 2-3 articles a week on my site and now organic traffic seems to have settled.

Can you please tell me the marketplace from where you order your contents?

Writing 2-3 quality and informative content is not an easy task especially when you do a full-time job.

I have tried a few here at BHW, truth be told, I am not impressed with their writing style ($10 for 1000words)

Recently, I ordered my first content here .. https://www.legiit.com/profile/prem...-1000-words-article-100-plagiarism-free-for-6 ($9 for 1000 words) (not my site, and I am no affiliate of her) (delete the link if not allowed), she seems to be professional (at least that's the vibe I got from her 1st reply).

Will, share my thoughts on how was the content.

Still, if you have some good suggestions on "how-to", "tutorial" content writer, please share their sales page, I will be really thankful.

I wish you all the best with your journey.

Best wishes,
sciita

Hi,

I am starting my own amazon affiliate site as well. Just wondering, if you can PM me a URL of your sample web 2.0 for me to reference.

I have'nt followed this thread in a while.. Nice to read all the updates.
Go Webminati !
Its always amazing to read.

I am taking so many actions ! not caring as much about the results as I used to.
I feel like I have wheels on me! :p

Thanks.

Usually I don't plan what is the ratio. Depends on keywords i find.

Info articles are necessary coz they fetch the most links and also helps you support the money articles.

And, you have to make a funnel type of things.

Eg: how to use a coffee maker to top 10 coffee makers to reviews of those coffee makers.

So I would say 10 info, 5 top and a lot of reviews and comparisons.

Easy money.

Good luck on your journey.
Thanks.

You can try @Sudarshan Kar

He is my writer but writes "best" and "reviews" for me. For info I get the content at cheaper prices.

Awesome work mate.

Update:

Pretty useless last month coz I am traveling and my VAs are slow af when I am not looking at their work and progress.

The site is still growing and got around 12 guest posts for it in a month.

Velocity is perfect for now. I will keep it that way.

Niche edits, guest posts, pbns and web2.0s which won't get deleted is my aim.

I got a lot of Reddit and forum links too but I hope they stay for a long time. Lets see what happens.

Made 200 dollars with 1 sale on moreniche :P so the site can make me $1000 a day easily if it starts to rank for bigger keywords.

I am pretty happy as of now :)

You should hire a team manager - to manage your VAs (just get a work calendar and give him some management training). That way your business will just need your expertise not time. And you'll be able to launch other projects as well.

BTW thanks for update in day time...haha

Great to hear the good news.
I have started building one web 2.0 a day like you have suggested. Do you think 5x 500 words is enought? And in future to add another 1 or 2 articles?
Also I don't understand how can a web 2.0 like wordpress for example index naturaly if I don't point any social or backlink towards it?

Also great to hear that you got finally some sales going in! Can't wait for the next update.

Update:

Added Amazon links a few days ago and here is the result till now:

Screenshot_20190517-041206.jpg

Conversion is damn too high. Maybe someone bought a lot of stuff.

A little extra income also helps lol. This can probably pay for a link.

Also, have hired another VA to outreach. He got me like 6 opportunities in 3 days, which is awesome!

Will get around 10 guest posts a month and few niche edits here and there.

Also getting a press release a month to build a constant number of brand links per month. Helps a lot.

Hired another VA to scrape domains for me. He is pretty bad at it. So might have to buy the domains from auctions :l lets see how it goes.

I am also getting a website which makes around $1500 per month (same niche).

The guy wants around 45k for it. I think he is not monetizing it right. Lets see if I can get a good deal and monetize it my way :)

I am telling him to give it for 35k lol. I love bargaining. But I will buy it no matter what.

Lets see how this journey goes. I am making good money with this project now. So I am happy for it :)

I don't trust outsourced managers. So once I have an office I might keep a manager :)

Update at night again lol ;)

I usually share them on Twitter, Reddit etc.
I have over 70 accounts (each). Twitter ones are mostly aged and authoritative coz expired and Ifttt attached with them.
Does the indexing job for me.
