Non crawled at all? No value whatsoever because Google doesn't know they exist.

I know people who used to spam a lot of unindexed links at a new PBN post, in hopes that Google would eventually index that spammy social link and then follow it and index the new PBN post. They have their uses, and in fact I'd guess that a large majority of spam links still auto generated today never get indexed by Google. In other words, they have their uses... but don't expect them to push much link juice.

Yes.

I will give you several examples. Social media links are not indexed yet they ad SEO value. There are some pages that are no index yet show up in search console, "webnode" is one such site.

The page must be crawled, but not necessarily indexed to add some value. These links add a value, but not for the usual purpose of backlinks. These links ad social signals, link diversity, anchor diversity and indexing of the targeted page.

If backlinks are not indexed, they are invisible to Google's eyes. Google doesn't automatically index every page you've built links on. So, you need to have your backlinks indexed, or else your whole seo efforts will be in vain. So, more content indexed will result in more traffic
