i got scammed by a developer on codecanyon (paypal case)

I think there are people who did that already , he has 10 sales and 6 angry buyers



he wasn't scared , i told him that I will start a dispute on paypal but he doesn't give an f ) I escalated the dispute to paypal and they said that on 26 may it will be over i hope it will be in my favour



Sorry to hear that man , I know there are romanian scammers too , when your country is ruled by corrupt politicians , illiterate and uneducated people who don't even know their own language it's impossible not to have people like this.

Go to the paypal resolution centre (as you have already filed a case) and see if any action is pending from your side. Be sure to include the full chat history, and other forms of communication; if any. 99% sure you will get your money back (if you didn't do f n f). Also, from next time; hire a proper developer for making apps. $108 for an app is ridiculous price. As for the $80, he clearly mentioned that this money was for contacting him via skype.. isn't it? So, he spoke to you over skype and you paid the money, right?

yep , you're right , I agree with you. I had to choose between a $800 app and this app at $80. The app from this developer at 80$ looked better and overall it was really nice but google play will not accept this source code.

First of all, you likely never win the case in paypal if it is about digital product. It state very clearly that paypal will not refund if that was a digital product. Event if that guys send you trash source code from google, you still can't win the case. I got scammed one by a guys selling me a website (which also come from India) and turn out he send me a free website template he download from google. After I escalate the transaction to paypal, with solid evidence but I still lose the case so bad because it a digital product.

My advise: Take this as an lesson and never purchase direct from seller on some product like this. Its much safer that you purchase from the market like Evanto where they deal with the appeal seriously. If the seller not send you money back, Evanto can take it from their funds and refund to you, also they will terminate that scammer account.

Thanks , I bought a couple things from the Envato Market , source codes , themes etc.. never had a problem and I thought if I never had a problem with previous selllers I can get this a bit cheaper.
As I said above I know $80 are not much money , I made my money back in the same day but I will not be sad if I'll get the money back somehow )

I wouldn't call it "scammed" then lol. You got what you paid for.. the source code. However, if he promised google play inclusion in his sales thread (not over skype), you are entitled to get your money back. Show that to paypal.

yep , he mentions that you can upload the app on google play with no problem on the sales page too , in the codecanyon comments too

if you had purchased it through code canyon you won't be facing this issues, call paypal not email them
