How to buy a domain?

Hi guys,
I have no experience with domains. What will happen if I buy a domain for 1 year for example? Will I loose it after 1 year or will it
extended automatically for a higher price?

If you buy a domain for 1 year and enabled the auto renew option, then the hosting will automatically renew your hosting and debit the amount from your card.

But they will also send you email for expiring the domain.

And if you do not enable the auto renew option, then the hosting will email you for the renewal of the domain and if you took good hosting company, then they will call you too.

And renewing the domain is always costly than the buying domain.

And if you don't renew and domain expired, then the hosting company offer some days to renew in between that.

So the best Option would be to buy a domain for 1 Year, not renew it and buy it again for 1 year? This is the cheapest way?

You can do it like purchase the domain for 1 year, and before 1 month of expiry you can transfer the domain to another domain provider.
