I see people uploading copyrighted content all the time and wondered why they bothered when it would just get deleted.

Does YouTube/Google still payout if your channel is breaking rules?

In the past companies just shut down your account and keep your money for themselves. I've lost thousands and thousands to affiliate companies this way because they suddenly ban one of their vendors.

Payments can still go through until youtube catches on and terminates the accounts, especially the Adsense one. Also people who upload copyrighted material, most often than not immediately have their videos claimed, but they make money from somewhere else (for example, they can pull their followers to a website or an outside link).

I am not saying he is still making money from this method itself. I said, the method was great and as he created/worked on this method he must be good at youtube and now a days he maybe earning good.
