Hello!

I've been digging but haven't been able to find anything or anyone running local instagram management. My wife and I will be doing this and I have one client that's very interested! We will be doing it at $150 a month.

It will be full engagement, meaning we go in find out what they have going on for the month, new products etc. Then make sure to get all the pictures and then work on setting up a system like hootsuite.

This is about as far as I've gotten. The part I'm mainly struggling with is writing up a contract. So I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction with this or if someone has a E-book/guide with this type of business start up please let me know!

Thanks!

Hey!

Glad to hear you are starting this type of business.

For start, $150 for going in and taking pictures, scheduling posts with content and hashtags is WAY underpriced, you shouldn't really be doing this for less than $750-1000

You don't really need a contract for such a small operation, however, if you are really set on having one just google: 'social media marketing agreement template' and reword it to fit what you need!

Holy moly that high for something so simple!? That's crazy to me. I'm just a lowly marketer I don't think I could fathom doing that price for a local shop. Maybe If I was doing ad management and such ..I'm not even sure that would work..But I'll keep that in mind. This will be our first client and I want to use it as a way to build my profile to go out and get some other contracts. I'll look up what you said on google for that and alter it. My end game goal is to get enough contracts where my wife wouldn't have to do her other job but focus on this business as we have a baby and probably another soon. So this would work very well for her.

Prices don't work like that

Ha that's crazy. I'm confident enough to grow the business's instagram and promote is locally but not 10's of thousands of followers. Just keeping them locally known and well established on instagram for the area. :D

It's your first client so make sure you to a really good job for them. For your next prospective clients, you'll have a proof of concept and you can charge more. Don't be shy and make sure to safely automate so that you can expand.

Don't stop there afterwards. Learn how you can help those businesses by providing Facebook ads service or SEO and really start to profit.

Selling to existing clients is easier than selling to new clients so you have an advantage there.

It’s not simple, there is a lot of time involved in manually going into the store, talking to the owners and taking pictures.
Then you have to go home, edit all of the pictures, write creative captions, and use good hashtags which you’ve researched.
I started in this game with the same view that I should be charging very little, but it’s so wrong. You will learn a lot from this first client so maybe keep the same price for now and just use this as a springboard, get a solid case study and make sure going forward you charge minimum $500. Within 1 month you will realise you should have charged more.

Don’t undervalue the skills involved in being a marketer and your valuable time.

Good for you!
I also wouldn’t do it for less than $1500-2000 but I’m saying that NO ONE should do that for less than $750-1000. Glad to hear you are so skilled.

Awesome well I'll do my best with this at first, that amount around 1-1.5k a month is my overall goal! :D

Hey I'm actually stuck a little bit. I can't seem to create any more instagram accounts? My pass trials are not letting me basically I guess. Seems I can only have 5 accounts on my ip. Do you have a suggestion for this? I'm kinda struggling with my first client haha. Thanks

You can only have 5 accounts on 1 device. I would look to start using Jarvee for multiple accounts

I sounded like you before I started and decided to take a local task. After a month you'll relaize (espeically if you track your time with toggl) you'll see how it adds up. Depending on exactly what you do (this is what I charge) for 3 custom posts per week a month I charge $350 with a three month contract. I also respond to reviews and post the same content on other social sites.

Anything less than $500 a month is a waste of time, honestly if a business can’t afford $500 for some digital marketing I wouldn’t even go in there!

Reminds me of the $250 month seo guy i read about!

Your pricing is pretty low for what you are offering. Anyway, you can find sample contracts on pandadoc
signup for the free trial, edit the template and download it.

All the best
