Ask me anything about Facebook Ads 2019

Hi, I need advice on targeting. My product has a broad interest toward audiences. Meaning it applies to almost everyone, because it can be needed to make life more convenient. Because of this broad interest, should I start off targeting a broad or narrow audience? How should I position this? I will use pixel, and have general idea on scaling.

I'd need to know more about your product. Generally, products that can 'appeal to anyone' have a very specific market, you just haven't done proper research.

how to increase the relevance score?
how to select & choose perfect interest / targeting in 1st attempt without doing test campaign? any tools or regular step that you do?

thanks

1. Make better quality content and test lots of audiences
2. Impossible

What Ad Style should I follow to increase Instagram followers via FB ads.

You can't really do this yet unfortunately

Hi Drought, thanks for doing this.

Can you draw a flowchart that explains how to test Ecom products and then how to optimize the winning ads for maximum profit (LLAs) and then how to scale it to $500/day? Even a rough hand-drawn flowchart would be OK for me.

You can take a photo of the page with your cellphone camera with one of those document scanner apps and upload it.

Here is how I start testing any business from scratch:
- 8 Interests
- 2 pieces of ad copy (angles)
- 4 images

Each interest will live in its own, individual ad set, with Interest Expansion turned off, at $10 day budget.

Each ad angle will live in its own Interest, with 4 image variations. So let's say I write 2 pieces of ad copy for a fitness product. One I will refer to as '6 minute abs' and the other will be called 'Lose belly fat'. And let's say one of my Interests is 'Crossfit'. I will have 2 ad sets targeting 'Crossfit'. One with the '6 minute abs' angle (and 4 images) and one with the 'lose belly fat' angle.

Here is what the setup looks like for this one interest:

So this is just 1 interest. I would repeat this for 7 other Interests for a total of 8 Interests, or 16 total ad sets. At $10/day each this would be $160/day and can allow you to identify winning audiences and ad angles in under a week.

Obviously, you can test less Interests if you have a smaller budget. You could start just by testing 4 Interests. But this is generally how I approach new accounts.

If your relevance score is 10 then your Interests are fine. You likely just need a better optimized funnel. Are you running a Conversion campaign?

Yes, conversion campaign. is it true someone told me that I need to spend more on facebook for facebook to bring in more customers? And what are examples of great funnels?

Hi OP, thanks for maintaining this thread and your prompt response so far. Really appreciate it.

I am about to purchase a list from one of the seller here at BST BlackHatWorld. It's a list of individual profile with emails (Gmail/Yahoo/Outlook etc) scraped from Facebook Groups.

My question is will it be safe for my Ads Account if I create Custom Audience directly from the list I purchased? Thanks.

Interest was fishing. Not sure what lookalike is

I don't remember what your original question was.

Yes, obviously if you spend more money = more traffic = more customers. Great funnels depend on your niche.

I don't think so, since Facebook has no way of knowing how you obtained it, but I have never done so can't give you any guarantee.

Looks similar to what Sam Ovens' did for his FB campaign, but he tests like 600 adset variations lol

Yep, Sam's Facebook Ads module in Consulting Accelerator is almost a direct copy of Jason Hornungs, who I got it from ;)

hey OP, thanks for sharing all this knowledge! I just got my FB Ads approved and active but nothing is happening. The amount spent is still 0, so I'm guessing my ads are not running? I set the daily limit to $5, target 18-35 males, with targeted interests.

How long have they been approved? What's your audience size? $5/day is pretty low so that's likely the reason

Has it spent anything? $0.00 or just a few cents. You could try raising it to $10 and seeing how it goes.

You only have 25 clicks. If 1 person purchased that would be a 4% conversion rate, which would be really, really good. So your sample size is just too small.

Also for my eCommerce website should I choose website traffic or conversations?
