Also he gave me keywords based on a list of interests I had sent him, so bonus points for that, because I write my articles manually and it's hard to write about something I'm not interested in. I totally understand where you're coming from. I used to think the same way and from time to time I still do. There is a good reason for them to do this though and here is a reference I use when I explain it:

During the gold rush, some people got rich while others didn't make anything. You know who always made a fortune? Those who sold the pickaxes.

So assuming they actually do make their proper research and do give you good niches, it still takes a lot of work and invested time to turn it into a winner. Even with a lot of work, some will fail and not be profitable at all. By selling these sites, they just need a guy who looks up potential products and a VA who just makes new websites based from a template. Profit margin is much lower but it's easy work and guaranteed.

It's the same for my businesses, I have VAs that I pay so I need to keep them busy and I am willing to risk a potentially highly profitable product in exchange for steady work for my VAs and passive income. If I had unlimited ressources and more hours in a day, I would sell all of the products I find but it's unrealistic. I'll keep the absolutely gem and the rest can be up for grabs.
