Not sure what the reason for this is but my site is ranking pretty strong on google.com for US traffic. But not for UK, CA or AU at all.

Not sure what the reason for this is and what to do about it, maybe you guys can give me some ideas :)

How old is the site and is the domain a .com or .co.uk or .ca ?

The domain is com and more than 1 year old. It was this way since the beginning but there's nothing in the code. It's a weird decission by google. In webmastertools I set it to US traffic, back than. But this was never an issue before.

Maybe putting an "en" into the html tag might solve it?

This is why Google is ranking you well in the US and not other countries.. if you want your website to be international, set the target country to ' international' in search console.

Cheers,

Haven't found the option in the new webmastertools. Don't think it's a thing by now.

What if you get some backlinks from UK, Canada and so? Just my little thought.
Thought about it but its diddicult to find some niche related and good ones.

This explains it all. It's normal.

UPDATE: You were right, I removed the US settings in the old webmastertools and the site is already ranking on UK. Was scared to loose ranking for doing it, you guys pushed me enough in the direction to risk it :)
