Ask me anything about Facebook Ads 2019

I have still 50$ left on my ad account what should i do with it instead?

What is the service/product you are trying to promote to restaurant owners?

I'm trying to drive conversion to my Android Apps, i made many campaigns during this year, every time conversion and relevance score was shit, i'm paying much for conversion than i do with AdWords. I made my ads only for the interested countries, added interests and still the results suck. Any advice ?

If you're getting good results with AdWords and low relevance scores, it's likely your ad copy/creative that are bad. If you send me a screenshot I can take a look

I am selling wet wipes for burger restaurants + bistros.

Title says everything ;)

I currently manage $50,000/month in ad spend for a variety of clients. Mostly eCommerce and lead gen for blogs and service providers. Happy to help however I can :)

Hey,

Thanks for taking time to answer and doing an ama :)
I have a competitor who runs ads 24/7 on his page and is quite successful with them, any idea how I can target the same people as him? I tried a lot of things, even copying the same style of ads / pictures / text he's running without the same success as him.

You can try running an ad campaign just targeting your local zip code (no targeting applied). These generally work pretty well for non-major cities.

No, it's impossible to target the exact same people. You can get close with good Interests and lookalikes, but never identical. Your best bet is to plug in other competitors into the Audience Insights Tool and try and find your best ones.

So just zipcode? No restaurant targeting or something with managers?

How to run ads in the make money online niche?

No guarantees of income. For example the headline 'How to make $10k/month online' won't work since you're making a promise. However, saying 'How I make $10k/month online' will work since you're just talking about yourself.

This has become a massive thread! Thanks for all the info.
Do you have any way to build an audience if you have a list of uid?

What do you mean by UID?

You should definitely start with a retargeting campaign targeting your abandoned carts. Do a Conversion campaign on the purchase objective targeting people who added to their but didn't purchase in the last 7 days.

A simple quiz pre-lander is enough
that would be a carousel ad? with best products?

may i have an example adcopy?

Thank you for conducting this AMA

I just a did engagement campaign for one of my posts and the cost came out at 0.18 per engagement. Is that a good cost and any tips on how to lowering it?

Also is there an option where facebook only charges you for post comments only?

Thanks for doing this, Drought. Much appreciated.

Can you tell me how much budget you need to start with Facebook ads? I've been hearing different advice from different people.

Some say you need at least $1000 (these people say you need to spend that much to collect lots of data) and some say you need only around $50-$100 (these people say you need to run multiple adsets for $10 each to know which target audience will buy).

Can you tell me which approach works best? I'm starting a drop shipping store.

How do I Target people of a particular group

Audience Insights Tool

landing page, should ad lead to article or sales page?

Sales page, always, unless you're selling something high-ticket. Then you should be directing to a lead magnet of some sort.

How do I Target members of a particular faFacebo group

You can't.

Ad copy isn't complicated, look at the ads of competitors in your niche. And yes, carousel with dynamic products. Read this: https://www.facebook.com/business/ads/dynamic-ads

No, not possible unfortunately. And that cost is ok I guess, engagement ads are generally a waste of time/money imo.

Dropshipping will require a budget of $500-$1,000 to do testing if you're starting from scratch.

I have a meme/quotes page and promoting my page for likes in my country, my question is what interest should I target? I'm just targeting people who have interest in quotes for now.

Thanks for the answer.

You said that you learned FB ads by reading up articles on the internet. Do you recommend any websites to learn FB ads?

Would you be so kind to share with us a video tutorial or URL on how to set up a proper campaign using fb platform?
