exactly! Nothing more to say. Create some social media buzz to justify the new links that pop up in googles eyes.

when google detects your website is going "viral" its absolutely normal that new links pop up because other blogs or newspapers might write about it...So google can not raise a penalty for a lot of new links comming from a viral trend. Thats the idea behind it.
