[Method] How to get backlink from Wikipedia?

Usually your link will be removed later. Specially if your site looks like an unprofessional money site. (like most of our sites :))

Man this is a GREAT share to be frank , BUT I believe someone else will edit yours isn't ???
if others also doing this likewise

Heres some additional tweaks/steps to maximize impact.

Now the secret sauce

  • Take the dead link URL from above and run it through your favourite backlink checker to get all the URL that link to the dead link
  • Then send a classic broken link building outreach type email but with the TWIST that Wikipedia already updated their link so they should to

Then even if Wikipedia does remove your link...

...well you still got a bunch of links from other sites where you use the "wikipedia update" as leverage to get your link placed.

Man,
First of all if you get a backlink from wikipedia, it's amazing.
And it's hard to acquire a link and so it is to remove

  • First use this tool to find the opportunituies https://www.webfx.com/seo-tools/wikigrabber/ its way easier
  • Then find the dead link and make a note of the URL (we will use it later)
  • Get your link place on Wikipedia

dude you are on next level to think about doing that, well played.

For this method to work it’s crucial that the content been linked to is an actual, valid replacement for the original link. May be worth linking to a blog or editorial post and then linking to your own site from the blog article

Nice method what I have been using since :) just don't forget to be super creative

Absolutely right

From my experience, most of the times you will do it the link will probably get deleted. Unless you are linking to a REALY high quality site.

Yeah... Quality needed

Adding a bit or relevant new content to the article works to make it stick easier. Also dont go changing sources right away, you need to age your account first and make a lot of small edits without doing any linkbuilding.

It will not give any value. I have used these tricks many times but the moderators sitting on the other side of the wall are there to delete your content. Overall, this trick is not going to work. Its hard to get links from wikipedia

This is super smart.

Then the to back link check then send email to sites. Brilliant !

Thanks got 1 in second try. Its already 24 hours and no one removed it. Should I be happy?
