I mean that 'political news' is a very generalized niche. Maybe you could go with political news in some specific regions (US or Europe etc). Also, there are tons of game related niches (video games, mobile games, card games, board games etc) and their sub niches are also so many (for example walkthroughs, guides, strategies, reviews and the list goes on...).

dont go that broad, you need a lot of funds to progress there;

if you like politics try something like:
women in politics
politics in developing countries..

you'll get noticed easier, and from there you can expand to different sub-niches, until you're big enough to go for the main niches
